  1. while we are talking about fcgs, i got to thinkin, sometimes my mak-90 will shoot off 2 rounds at once. done it since i baught it. doesnt do it always. its a pre ban baught it brand new in the box for a hundred bucks years and years ago. thaught it was worthy of this topic. anyone ever have this problem?
  2. got my trigger from k-var they didnt sent the disconnector or spring and it barely had a hole on the trigger for the spring and the holes in the trigger for the pin that holds it in were too small. left them an email and they called me and were like well, sorry
  3. yeh Paulyski, the only american part is the trigger. hammer, disconnector and spring are russian. thats why i had all the trouble. coulda saved yall the trouble too if i would have said something. k-var said it should have worked and it didnt so i put them in their place. i dont know wny they want to be cheap and swindle people. i got a good mechanical mind and got it to work. it shoots fine and im not worried about 922r or whatever it is. no one where i live would even try to pull that law where i live. everyone here has aks and sks's. got stopped once with a beer in my lap and the cop follow
  4. i got it from k-var didnt come with disconnector
  5. the problem was i was mixing american parts with russian.(i was still using origional disconnector)and the sisconnector needed the bushing.
  6. you only need the retaining plate if you dont want to use the retaining spring. they say they are easier to use but i have no problem with the spring. are you sure yours has a pg hole? i thaught none of the 308s came with it. well if so lucky you. less work.
  7. accually the only thing similar to the x39 is that it has the clinton plate. the .308 is like a normal ak they only put an extension on the trigger so that the part you squeeze is further back. thats why the .308 is the most simple to convert.
  8. the .308 is the easiest to convert. let me know if you need more help. all you have to do is drill off the clinton plate, only remove the pin that holds the trigger in the gun, and drill a pg nut hole(308s dont come with the pg nut hole) its way easier to use the origional trigger guard. just get it off the plate, kinda squeeze it into a U shape, cut about 1/4inch off the back, slide under mag release and rivit the back.it will stay perfect. also, if you get an american trigger, get an american disconnector. the US fcg doesnt need the bushing in it like the russian.(i used US trigger and russia
  9. hell yeh its a good show i seen him on my birthday last year in austin. like yours as well lol. long live gonzo!!!!!!!!!!
  10. nevermind traded them already sorry for taking up time.
  11. i know that is is the place where the saiga people dwell but i know people have other guns.im cleaning the gun closet. i have 5 30 round military m16 mags. will let them go for 5 bucks apiece. can get more no problem also. will trade for parts also. p.s. dont get mad saiga guys lol.
  12. hey cobra you got a front handguard you wanna sell, i was using that one still lol
  13. well if ya wanna trade ya got a deal. you mind i i could get a pic of it.
  14. in good shape. been told it will fit all saigas. came off my .308. would like to trade for a dragunov style stock or a psl stock. worth 150 bucks new would like 80 bucks for it. minor scratches
  15. yeh sorry guys didnt know that there was an exact place to do all that just wanting to get rid of some stuff
  16. i have wooden stock and handguard for a saiga. coulple of small scratches. been told it is pretty popular and didnt come on many saigas. would be willing to trade both for a dragunov style stock or a psl stock. if you would like to buy give me an offer. thanks everyone
  17. i know your a shotgun guy but i would pay decent for a dragunov fsb with the muzzle brake
  18. looks like a simple Galil-style plastic pistol grip, one of the more common styles. looks nice btw. its a grip of a amd-65
  19. i figured it was cause its new bit like i said my mak-90 does it and ive had it for years its a pre ban baught it new in a sardine can for 100 bucks and i have shot way over 3000 rounds through it. guess it cant wear out. my new amd-65 didnt do it at all. well as long as it doesnt hurt anything i guess its fine. speaking of amds, if you ever get one dont take off the muzzle brake unless you got a ffl. i found out the hard way almost got it taken away and almost went to jail over it lol. it stays in the house now.
  20. i converted my s308 and didnt put the bolt hold open thing back in it but when i pull the bolt completly back it will stay back just gotta bump it and it will slam forward. kinda handy but is it a problem?? my mak-90 does it too since i pulled it out of the box filled with cosmoline. is this normal cause my other aks dont do it.
  21. Mine fit just fine... i bought a k-var kit to convert my 308 i dont reccomend it for anyone. it came with a trigger, tg, stock, pistol grip with bolt and nut. the stock is way too short for a regular person and the tg had no hole for the mag release spring and no rivit even if you drilled the hole and the hole in the trigger was too small for the bushing so i had to drill it out. i said the hell with it and used my origional tg. came out nice just kinda bent it and stuck it under the mag release and put a rivet in the other end. forgot to paint it lol.
  22. i didnt even bother using a different tg i just kinda squeezed the origional in a vice until it was the right shape and slid it under the mag release and rivited it in. way faster and easier.
