  1. I haven't had the chance to pound a bunch of ammo through it to find out, but I put 60 rounds through it on sunday and the handguards stayed cool. The biggest thing I notice is that it's easier to hold onto and feels like the muzzle swings around a little lighter but that might just be my imagination. All I know is I really enjoyed shooting it and Dinzag's bullet guide made my 30 round mag finally work right! here's a daylight pic.. Just wondering, I see the upperhandguard doesnt look like it has the "ribs" like the lower. The Tapco ones Ive seen online just like yours have "r
  2. Thanks, everyone, I found a FFL dealer in Eureka that will do the transfer. the gun will be shipped tommorow from Colo. To there hopefully, as eureka had a large earthquake last might with a lot of damage. Sacramento would have been a last resort, as its 350 miles from me each way. On Calguns, people gave me the numbers of folks who couldnt help when I called them, or were 700 miles + each way from me. But, hopefully it will get to cali soon, I go in Tuesday to do the DROS paperwork, as soon as I get it in my hands, I'll let you all know. Thanks, all. I'm a Happy

  4. The out of state dealer has a 'no returns' policy. I knew that when i ordered it, but that was based on the info that a local cal FFL person would do the transfer and DROJ,(background check). He wont hold up his part of the transaction. I paid in Postal Money order, not Credit card, so i'm not getting the money back from the seller. The seller is being nice, holding the gun for me, ready to ship to cali as soon as I can send him a copy of a cali FFL dealer to do the transfer...He HAS sold a lot to Calif, but he says they have all been way down in the LA area, and i live way up in the mountains
  5. I[[i saw a saiga rifle advertised on guns America as cal legal saiga 7.62. I talked to a local FFL dealer, and he agreed to do the cal stuff, transfer and DROJ. NSo, I paid for the gun thats in Colo. , and now it's ready to ship, and the FFL guy is backing out, telling me Cal DOJ wont let him deal with saigas. This one is bone stock, with the monte carlo stock and 10 round clip. should be legal here. I cALLED A FEW OTHER LOCAL ffl DEALERS, AND GET THE SAME ANSWER. aM i SCREWED? wHAT HAPPENS TO MY $$? ...sO THESE are ILLEGAL HERE? i DONT UNDERSTAND. CAN ANYONE HELP?left][/left] b][/b]
  6. Would you have a problem shipping it to california if I paid cash? You could disassemble it into 'kit form' if you absolutely had to...let me know, as I'm looking for Surefires right now..
  7. ii Ive got Tapco pistol grip stock coming. I hear pro-mags are crap, that why I asked if anyone converts Surefires, or if amy other GOOD mags work in a 10/30 configuration in a 7.62. i'm going to add lots of 'evil features', just want the option to change things back without having to move the trigger forward. I dont think the Tapco pistolgrip/collapsable stock set looks bad with a big clip, If I get a 10/30 and lock it in, I can still have a cal legal gun that looks cool also...
  8. Yes, I picked some up from promag. They are located in South Gate. Contact them I'm sure they will hook you up. w Will Promag 10/30 mags fit in an unconverted 7.62. saiga? I have not been able to find any 10/30 mags already completed that will fit a stock saiga in 7.62...I have found someone who will convert Surefire mags if I get someone to buy them out of state, ship them to me, and I send them into him to block...it would be a lot easier if someone just made ones that would fit stock...
