Ok? The sight itself is straight in fact I've seen many Saiga 308s come through a gunshop I purchase from and never saw one canted sight. This is pointless! I wrote one cuss word in the emails I've sent but know I've made my point. Defend him it really doesn't bother me at this point. In fact I expect no less. Misc

Well, I've been called worse ! It's amazing how the point has been entirely missed by some of the posters. As I stated and Tony never refuted. To get the job done his way would have cost another $175 plus shipping cost. I'm not a glutton for punishment. Secondly, no one stepped up and said," I had just a flash hider installed without issue so what's your grip!" ANYONE? I never deviated from what offered on the menu that being a flash hider installed for $50. Frankly, if it wasn't me it would have been someon

I'll be short and to the point. I sent my Saiga 308 to have a pistol grip conversion, side folding stock, a finish placed on it, and a flash hider installed for $410 returned. A refund of $50 was given for not installing the flash hider. He had it for almost a month a half and never bothered to communicate the issue with the flash hider. Instead explained in a letter accompanying the returned rifle, the flash hider could not be installed because of the position of the front sight. It would have to be replaced with HK type sights in order to get it to work so the $50 refund. Listed on his

It looks similiar to a Hesse Arms conversion I bought last year off of Gunbroker. Except mine had an AMD 65 style muzzle brake which will be replace very soon. Misc

AKTexas73,no need to apologize although it's appreciated. Transacting in the internet really when you break it down is about giving the individual or company the benefit of the doubt. There was an example a few years ago about a computer company that did business through Ebay. Even after having over 700 positive feedbacks over a 2 year span they closed up shop and folks who had order products were left holding the bag so to speak. Caveat Emptor is the proper phrase. Misc

Bvamp, I've been taken and I have nothing to add! Thanks for the reality check! Misc

Termite, I emailed this fellow on the 6th and the 8th and finally on the 10th with no reply. I filed a complaint with Gunbroker. So a couple more days and I'm leaving negative feedback. It's no time to be taking a vacation when customers are expecting delivery of a product. Misc

PanchoVilla, did you email the seller to find out the info? I sent a polite email and honestly hopes he post here with a reasonable explanation. I'm not attempting to start a Brouhaha but believe folks here have honest questions as myself since I purchased 1 the magazines myself. Misc

ak01g, I've got a few questions if you don't mind answering. Is that the original front sight assembly with a Krinkoff style flash hider welded on? Or is that a completely different front sight assembly that can take 24mm flash hiders? Never mind. I saw the close up picture. Nice configuration! Misc

Is there a step by step description on how to remove the barrel from the receiver of a Saiga 308? misc

Off gunbroker.com. There is a seller that goes by ruseller. Here is a link to an auction of his. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=45918025 He has jumped the price from $79.99 to $129.99. Ouch! misc

It's the one piece front assembly with flash hider. The only one that has been shown in 308 rifle pics. A problem I've come across is that the pin holes on the original assembly are wider than on the assembly I received. Is there a different way to put the new assembly on? Any ideas? Misc

How are the pins that hold the front sight assembly removed safely? Secondly, I just received a front sight assembly from Ruseller for my Saiga 308 but the pinhole alignment is off so can the new front sight assembly be put on using a different procedure? misc

It takes alot not to go off on the guy! DaGroaner, you exercised some serious patience. Kudos Misc

It may be an original. I looked high and low and finally purchased a Saiga 308-1 that was converted by Hesse. Without the flashhider which I ordered from a dealer on Gunbroker and installed a Nato length stock. Anyway came across pictures from a German website and the Saigas look identical. You decide. http://www.sportarms.com/extra.htm Misc

Saiga .308 with Pistol Grip: Imported or Modified in U.S.?
misc replied to monomonk's topic in Saiga .308
Hello Guys! Misc here and that Saiga 308 is now mine! Presentation can be everything I agree but after taking a calculated risk the gun was well worth it. It came with the original Saiga scope mount with a Redstar 3-9x40 scope and Harris Bi Pod. Glad you Guys left it alone. It was converted by Hesse but he only converted it to pistol grip and installed an AMD 65 style muzzle brake. No welds on the receiver has Hesse was known to do. Just got back from the range and the rifle is very accurate. Thanks for leaving it alone otherwise I would have paid too much. Misc
