  1. I knew I would get that response about getting the Circle 10"s runnning. I just got tired of all my shit having file marks on them. The premium for those mags and labor involved when a promag runs flawless was irritating me. I have a AR and happen to have a bunch of mags for it and I don't have to file the pmags to make them work. I have 2 bulgarian mags that work flawless and 3 that don't. It is a converted saiga that runs perfect when it has a good fitted mag in it. I just want to use my pmags since I have more of them and I'm tired of filing on everything. I just want it to work and
  2. I am looking to consolidate magazines from my AR to AK since I have had problems with getting the Circle 10 mags to run problem free. I am positive I will get a mag conversion, just trying to figure out which one. Probably whichever one offers the least hassle to get and install combined with price and reviews.
  3. These have supposedly been out for a bit. Whats the word on how they work? Looking to get one if I can find any pics or reviews.
  4. I have been working with the Magpul teachings with my support arm extended to the front of the rifle. Does anyone know of any handguards that go even or past the gasblock? I had looked at the MI extended rail, but it only covers the bottom half out that far. I have seen the TWS and the ultimak tri rail, but damn they are expensive. I am not displeased enough with my Ultimak and stock Saiga handguard to drop that kind of coin so far.
  5. In Travis Haley's AK DVD, he dumps his AK in a pond, swishes it around and calls it good
  6. Well, had another range day with my Arsenal and SGM mags. Quite a bit of jamming from the start. Funny thing was I had bought a Pro-Mag for grins and it ran flawless all day every time. The only mag I've had that didn't have to be filed or fitted. I am almost to the point of just getting a Arsenal 7.62 and not dealing with all this mag nonsense. I am going to go over my Arsenal mags again with a file and see if a little more fitting will solve the feed problems. Probably was operator error on that part.
  7. thanks for the help. I may look into that. It is just confusing as to how it works and then doesn't at around 100 rounds. Seems like something that would work or it won't- black and white
  8. My 223 runs awesome when I first get to the range. No malfunctions at all. At a few rounds shy of 100, it begins to have feeding issues. It will ram the round into the face of the barrel and jam the action. A quick rack of the bolt and it drives the round home. Once this starts, it usually gets worse and more frequent. I had a gunsmith install my bullet guide, but it works flawlessly when I first shoot it. Using the same mags the whole time. It was worse with Tula ammo, but started doing it with Brown Bear this evening. Fire some suggestions at me because I really like this gun. I am
  9. My gunsmith charged 30 bucks to make mine perfect and sight it in. Unless you want to fix it yourself, 30 bucks well spent
  10. Saigas don't come with the top and bottom handguard retainers so the basic ak furniture is out without buying a bunch of parts. What handguard is the best all around for the Saiga? I'm thinking of modding my factory handguard to function with a ultimak. Anyone got any pictures of ones that they have modded?
  11. Do I need a gas tube with with the upper handguard retainer to run this rail?
  12. Thanks for the replies. I had a tube of the no name loctite that CSS sells and it says that it is for screws up to 1/4 (I think). But the bottle is blue so maybe what you guys said happened. Once screwed onto the gun, there is a small gap between the tube and the back of the adapter. This small gap could let the screws take a pounding if they came loose. This was more of a problem on my 12 from the heavy recoil. I put a new setup on my 223 and they screws loosened a little, but I just tightened them back down and continued running. I really feel that one screw on the bottom to secure th
  13. I'm going to mount a scope to the rifile to see what accuracy is like out to 500 or so. I know it won't be a tackdriver, but I would like to know if it will group man size at distance. It pays to know all the capabilities of what you are using so you can use them properly when needed. I also like to shoot groundhogs and don't always carry my heavy barrel 243 with me.
  14. Has anyone ever welded the CAA tube to the attachment block that screws into the rear tang? Seems like it would be pretty easy to run a small bead and lock it in. Don't know anything about welding though.
