  1. A gas block is the last item I need to complete a build. I'll take anything I can get. Rusted, welded on, ground upon, bent, totally stripped of parts is fine. Let me know what you've got. Thanks for any help, Catter
  2. I'll take a bunch of pics tomorrow and post for discussion.
  3. We'll see. Maybe krinkov furniture. I'll have some good things to show off in a few weeks. Just wait for it. We got 4 of the 030s yesterday. I won't put my hands on them until Friday.
  4. From what I have seen, the piston has an extension that penetrates through the puck. As gas pushes both backwards, the puck stops and the piston withdraws from the puck, allowing excess gass to pass through the puck and out into the atmosphere. This creates a self regulating gas system. A short barrel system under 12.5" will require a custom piston...which I am busily working on as we speak for our sbs builds.
  5. As of yesterday, we have received 4 of them. ---Catter
  6. It is an original Saiga 12C with factory left side folder. Receiver is marked for law enforcement only. It is all correct accept the barrel has beec cut to 18". The originals had 22 or 24" barrels. So any idea of market value?
  7. I would like to know what the Saiga 12c with one 8 round russian mag is worth. The original barrel has been cut to 18" and threaded. Thanks ---Catter
  8. Very controllable. This is with a mix of buck, slug and bird shot.
  9. It is a home built SBS. I put the gun on a Form 1 with BATFE and built the gun myself. ---Catter
  10. This was with 150 grains of Pyrodex FFg equivilent, by volume and 2.5 ounces of number 8 shot. The gun weighs around 8 lbs and has a 12 inch barrel and it loads from the muzzle, one shot at a time... It is pretty fun to shoot but you have to hang on tight. Amanda's first shot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCH_-Me35cc&feature=BFa&list=ULGwt5ibGeHO4&index=3 The second try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toGF_PFb7wk&feature=BFa&list=ULGwt5ibGeHO4&index=4 ---Catter
  11. My friend Amanda runs the range where I like to shoot. She and one of the owners tried out the Saiga Shorty today. I think the shorty met with their approval http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyvW-GcB-5o&feature=BFa&list=ULGwt5ibGeHO4&index=6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gwt5ibGeHO4&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL ---Catter
  12. Actually it has functioned very well for me. I plan to wring it out a little more pretty soon. I have been really busy at work and with family this summer so I haven't been shooting since I recorded the video I posted earlier. ---Catter
  13. I just wanted to add pics of the finished gun. ---Catter Edited to add: Oops! Looks like I already had.
