  1. I have a Tromix and MOE (similar to the CTR) stock. The Tromix has a good length of pull and is solid, even mounted to an ACE folder block, love the looks. The comfort of the stock is horrible. The squared off design of the stock digs into your cheek on recoil, buttpad is hard plastic and not very forgiving. There is the limbsaver option but it looks like a gimp foot with a high heel mounted on it. The MOE is lightweight, adjustable length with a receiver tube and foldable with an ACE block. There are buttpad thickness options available. Theres some play with all the adjustability wit
  2. I got a block that I had to drill/ tap. AK's are notorious for having very wide tolerances, its why they have a great reputation for reliability and poor accuracy. Your Saiga12 is basically an AK, and your receiver is an example of that. Personally I would overdrill the holes on the receiver (unless the holes in the block are way off) and find larger button head screws. Otherwise just return the block to CSS and get a block you need to drill/tap to make it perfectly aligned.
  3. I had plastic body panels done on a UTV, 3+ years ago, the finish has held up extremely well. Think about what vehicles encounter while off-roading, mud bogging, and duning thats pretty much what its endured and more. The panels near the exhaust get really hot, the fender trim is rhino coated (rubberized bedliner) and that has begun peeling and flaking. Graphics in those areas are holding up fine, no discoloration or peeling. As the above poster stated, there is an automotive grade clear coat over the graphics and I do take care to apply wax after washes. I recently had a AR completely di
  4. Has anyone tried mounting a Saiga-12 forend to a 7.62x39? I like the look of the factory handguard extending out to the gas block. Most everything produced today is standard AKM length. It seems the S12 has many more forend options available.
  5. I have an ACE folder with a 7.5" stock. It will not fold closed with the drum in place.
  6. I had the same concern with my ACE block. I did exactly as you described and just drill/ tapped the block, similar to the CSS block posted above.
  7. And those are not even LRBHO models. Yea that's gouging. I've bought several other guns from J&G because they usually are the cheapest. Notice it comes with a 5rd ProMag. Whats up with that?? I've always heard J&G will remove accessories or replace them with cheaper ones and resell them at higher prices.
  8. Was your box factory sealed or opened when you received it? I think you're missing a bunch of stuff. If I remember correctly mines came with a service manual, "certificate", empty plastic oil bottle, cleaning rod, ak style cleaning kit, barrel nut wrench, 5 round magazine. Everything was wrapped in that brown anti-corrosion packing paper..
  9. Keeping the MD20 fully loaded (or any mag/drum for that matter) won't harm the mag or spring at all. There have been numerous discussions about this, on many boards with materials engineers backing up the validity of this. The only way springs will be damaged is as stated by Heath- , if used beyond what it was designed for. Wear and tear will only occur on the spring from constantly "cycling" of compression and rarefaction. The only concern I would have is the possibility of the shell hull deforming since it is under constant pressure. There have been reports of people having FTF issues
