  1. Finally, a topic I actually have some experience with. I picked up a couple extra factory mags off gunbroker.com, plus an (apparently) modified AK mag. The modified AK mag required no modifications to my carbine; however there is a very slight "looseness" to the fit. I've run about only 90 rounds thru it but no FTF so far. Of course, no problems so far with the factory mags either. Steve Madison, WI
  2. Thanks for the rubber cement tip. I was thinking of using blue locktite but that stuff sometimes holds *too* good... Steve
  3. That's a big DOH! on my part. While cleaning & tghtening I can't believe I missed that. Thanks! Steve
  4. As is many things, it seems to be location location location. Our east-side Gander has Wolf on a somewhat regular basis for the $2.50/box (maybe a case at a shot, it sells quickly). The west-side store rarely seems to have any in stock (at least when I've stopped by). Steve Madison, WI
  5. Well, I'm certainly confused (not a unique situation). I have a 7.62x39 Saiga w/16' barrel, and from what I can see from the importer web site there *is* only one model in 7.62x39 with a 16" barrel. That's sort of self-defining..... Perhaps you're looking at other calibers with the same barrel length? Steve Madison, WI
  6. All: After my last range outing I noticed the forestock had about 1 mm "slop" fore & aft. This doesn't affect the carbine shooting; however I can't figure out how or where this part works loose. AFAIK simple field stripping shouldn't cause that. Any ideas on how this happens or (even better) how to tighten up that stock? TIA Steve People's Republic of Madison
