How important is it to have an adjustable tap?

If I win I will have to purchase a new saiga. What a shame to have an excuse to buy another one

I think there is a need for balance. You can only get so many guns and so much ammo and it becomes non productive to buy more. How many guns do you really need to protect your family under a katrina situation or even social unrest like in Libya?. After a reasonable amount of guns and ammo better to start focusing on defense. And long before that you need to pay attention to food, first aid and health care.

That looks like the plates I have. They are a combination of thermoplastic and ceramic. They are made by one of the companies that makes the xsapi plates and and have multi-hit capability. You are correct there are three - the other two are hidden by the rim of the gas block. I can feel them with a dental pick. I will get a mirror and check them out tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Just got this Saiga 12 and am checking it out. I have been reading about the FTE's and the number of gas holes. Looks like this one only has one? Am I looking in the right spot?
