  1. haha nice! The guy posing as a duck hunter made me LOL @ 1:24
  2. I bought some SGM Tactical Mags that had the same issue (too tight up top). I stuck a hammer handle in the mag to widen it, boiled the top half for 12 seconds, then let'em cool. It worked great for my mags. Thanks to the OP for posting the idea.
  3. Thanks for the compliments guys I posted a vid of it here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/64805-11-rnd-mag-anyone/
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5qNWmf8_VU The mags did load with the bolt closed, but the bolt was difficult to pull back (the spring was so stiff & there wasnt alot downward travel in the mag with 11-rnds loaded) so the 1st rounds didnt like to chamber. Maybe it was because there was too much spring pressure &/or maybe it was because the top shell was getting flattened near the tip (that was making it irregularly shaped right where it needed to be rounded). I guess it could be a few different things too. I didnt lube the gun as much as I normally do too. I'll have to keep
  5. Well less than 12hrs after my mom put my Brother on a plane... I got a call from Mom this morning... & they are going to evacuate the base. I don't know who all (which ranks and such) are going to be evacuated, except that Mom said she's getting out. She must have found out when she got back to base after taking my Brother to Toyko. WOW Thank you for your prayers; I know they helped ~Stephen
  6. yeah I'll let you guys know tomorrow. I'm gonna shoot some video JoeAldric ...you know I was loading my mags tonight and noticed that one of my Mags holds 11 without any modification (i have 3 total). The other one will only take 10, and of course the one I modded takes 11. If the 11-Rnders work well I'll mod that last one to take 11-Rnds. I like the idea anyways... I mean the 10-Rnd mags are massinve already. I'm excited that i can get half way to the 12-Rnd mag by modding a 10-Rnd mag and still have the 10-Rnd look haha Those 12-Rnd mags look reciculas to me! I love the idea of a c
  7. Thank you all so much I truly appreciate it! I know it help. My Brother is flying back to the states now. He'll be here tomorrow evening. Mom doesnt has to stay there so keep the good vibes going. Thank you all so very much! I appreciate it more than words can say ~Stephen

  9. . I hope you like it so far. I think its coming out real nice myself I think It'll really look good once I get the bolt & trigger polished! Tomorrow I'll have to take it out and spit some shells. I'll get some Vid thx
  10. So I was boiling these SGM Tactical (SureFire) 10-Rnd mags (the tops were pinched and I opened them up a bit). As I was re-assembling my mags & checking it out to see if it would load correctly... I lost count and began to load a 11th Rnd (almost... the 11th-Rnd needed just a little bit more room to fit). I looked at the bottom Spring Guide and it hit me that if I trimmed just a little bit off... I might be able to fit an 11th-Rnd. Since I was already modding these dang things to cycle right anyways I figured I'd try it on one. I clipped a little of the tips and Presto! ...11-Rnd
  11. Well I had wanted to DuraCoat it, but I wasnt exactly finding the colors I wanted & didnt want to pay $75 for colors that I thought were "ok". I found some High-Gloss high-heat Engine Enamel for the Barrel & Gas Tube. Then the Platinum/Pewter (whatever you want to call it) is a Automotive Paint. Its actually a Honda car color called "Seattle Silver Metallic". haha I got a Honda colored Saiga LOL! I found some DuraCoat Clear Satin (says you can mix it as a semi to high-gloss). If I can Dura Coat the whole thing in a high Gloss then thats what I'd like to try. I don't plan o
  12. Thanks & Thanks Gun Fanatic I seriously thought thats exactly what i did. I hate the links ...the pics should always be right up front where they can be seen. Heres where she is now . Hmmmm... I think it might look alright with matt-Black stocks. I got some SMG Tactical (surefire) mags today. Man I guess Im starting to see what you guys mean by having a hard time finding good mags. All 3 of mine were wedged at the top and wouldnt allow the shotshell to rise easily. I did the ol stick a hammer handle in and let it boil for 12secs. I guess I did it just enough cause
  13. Platinum Receiver. Polished Bolt & Trigger. Glass Black Dust Cover, Finger Guard, Safety, & Barrel (looks a little Blue in the pic because its reflecting the Sky above) Also if I can find some nice Dark Red Wood Furniture I think I'd like that. We'll see. I really want a folding stock of some type, so I don't know h
  14. Keep in mind I'm just passing along the info for anyone who is willing to pay up the ying yang for one. I got that email because I was signed up to get it ....just thought I'd pass it along thats all I too was suprised at the price. Before I checked the price i was going to buy another one (with the dumb assumption they were still priced the same as they were before) ....first words that came to my mind once I saw that $739 price tag.... "Rat bastards!"

  16. After surviving the Earth Quake & Tsunami, they're now being exposed to radiation. They already been exposed to 20% the amount of radiation that causes the 1st levels of sickness. My mom is flying my brother out as soon as possible (fucking bastards are price gouging and charged my mom $5000 for a one way ticket!). The Naval Base won't allow her to leave yet, and they probably won't until they've received more radiation and its causing physical harm. If you Pray, or if you don't... whatever you do please send your best wishes that way. I'd really appreciate it Thanks ~Steph
  17. Thanks for the compliments guys (and for the avatar compliment too Sparacus) I'm glad you mentioned 922r. With all the excitement of having my new S12 I momentarily forgot. I have 3 10rd mags & a MD20 on the way. I'm glad they didnt get here yet, and I'm glad I didnt buy that 10rd Mag at my local shop... I would have forgeoten about 922r and slapped them babies in if I had them! Fortunately I already have conversion parts, butt stock, Pistol grip, & V-Plug. I'll be sure to keep 922r in mind until I get something installed.
  18. My S-12 came in today. 1st thing that came to mind "hmm It's lighter than I thought it would be" I got home with it & didnt waste any time cleaning it. I already had a few few hundred rounds of various ammo ready to go, so I gave it real nice cleaning, oiling, and off I went. Call it a gut feeling but I always felt like the S-12 i was going to get was going to be a good one. Before I even ordered one I felt like thats how it was going to be. (heaven forbid now that I say this im going to find out that something is majorly wrong!) Anyways for my 1st test... I thought I'd giv
  19. This is probably one of the cheapest and easiest ways to get a dependable side folder and they work great. Some people complain about lack of cheekweld but that may not matter as much on a shotgun. I ordered that Romanian Side-folder Stock, & bought the Cheek Weld from OneSourseTactical that goes with it For both I paid like $90-ish shipped ...I think thats probably the cheapest metal folding stock set-up I can get. I just don't trust those flimsy plastic tapco stocks to survive if the going gets ruff! ....I hope this metal Romanian set-up will be the ticket
  20. I picked up a couple boxes at Walmart. Somthing like $9.89 for 15rd Remington OO Buck.
