the blade on the stock is dull as a butter knife from what i read on another forum, so no you will not injure yourself

POSPs will be a step above most american glass, and NPZ's PSO will be quite a lot better. I can't imagine a reason why someone wouldn't want to use the right optic on these guns. Hmm crappy barska for $200 or excellent POSP that's intended for the gun... Hard choice. Regardless what you get, remember to go with the SVD mount. It sits lower and it won't fall off
