  1. Thanks mancat. I checked a couple of Tula steel and Federal brass with the same result. Could I have some kind of build up in the chamber that is not coming off with a good cleaning with solvent and a brass brush?
  2. Hey guys I've been experiencing something odd with my 556 siaga the last few times out. I have been getting spent casings stuck in the camber that will not come out with out some help from a rod and mallet from the bore. I have cleaned it with solvents and brushes to no avail, when I re chamber a spent casing it will still not come out on it's own. I have shot alot of steel case wolf ammo over the years, about 2000 rounds and so far never had an issue. What should I do next?
  3. If I had more money than sense right now (it's a close tie cause i'm broke at the moment) I would pick up the Kel tec RFB 7.62 bullpup in a heartbeat. Played with one at the shop the other day and it's light and balanced. Just didn't have the $1400 with me!
  4. That wouldn't fit a 20 would it?
  5. So I have decided that I do not like or need the factory optics rail on my Siagas. With all the after market optics and rail options and accessories that are more functional and better looking I want to remove the factory mount. Can I simply drill out the three rivets and remove the rail? Is there a simple way to cover or fill the holes that will be left without welding? Will I need to repaint after removing the rail? I want to convert most of my Siagas to a left hand charging handle so that I can run a brass catch over the ejection port. Having the factory rail out of the way would m

    Well I Never!

Yeah when a deal comes along it kinda leaves you thinking somethings got to be wrong but everything seems to be in order. Wish they had more deals like this I could turn you guys onto but he's been looking for me for awhile. On a side note, when did they start putting the bolt hold open on the 12? My 223 and 308 have them but none of my shotty's do.

    Well I Never!

That's right, I never feel like I get a great deal on things that I buy. Oh I get decent deals when I buy things but never one I'm proud of. So my buddy who works part time at a pawn shop here in town has been keeping an eye out for a few select firearms on a list I gave him. One of those on the list is a clean s-12. He has called with a few that weren't much to talk about but today he nailed it. I get the message from him right before lunch that I need to get over there asap with my wallet. Not wanting to miss out I let the boss know I was headed out to lunch early and might be a bit lon
  8. I've got one laying around I would let go for $25 plus shipping if someone wants to try one out.

    Saiga .223

So if you can run 5.56, what is a good resource for it and are there diff loads that work better than others?
  10. I wouldn't mind having an adjustable choke permanently attached but would rather not have to send it off to do it. My barrel is already 18.5" and I don't care if the choke adds a bit of length, I just want to be able to tighten up the pattern for hunting small game.
  11. I am wondering if anyone here can give me the info a gunsmith would need to re-thread my Siaga 20 barrell so it will accept a Poly choke.
  12. This has been posted here twice before. I guess it doesn't hurt to keep beating the drum. I signed it, it showed up on a boating site in one of the threads and got a lot of attention over there. I followed the link the the bill and it scared the shit out of me. Not one of my guns would be outside of this ban. I sure hope this doesn't see the light of day.
  13. Man Dinzag, I'm sorry did you want to split em? I could live with two if you need them as much as I do.
