  1. Have a slight gap between the locking tab and mag release on my .223. Using galil steel mags and beryl modified. Is causing occasional ftf where the bolt is missing the head of the case and catching the middle of case causing jams. Would putting a small bead of weld on the mag release fix this issue? Is there a better way? Don't want to buy more mags or modify the galil ones since I use them in a golani. I have a dinzag bg on round trunnion.
  2. Dang. I should check on here more often. I ended up taking it apart to build a G1. Used the US parts and the upper. So it is officially off the market right now. Thanks for the interest.
  3. Was thinking I need to get around $850 for it shipped. The kits are getting hard to find and Imbel uppers are pretty pricy now days too.
  4. Anybody interested in trading an Imbel FAL for a Saiga in 7.62? Imbel has original finish on it (Brazilian Imbel kit with lots of handling). Internals and bore are in VG+ condition. No pitting or rust in bore. Nice and shiney. New US made hammer, sear,(Falcon) gas piston (Tapco), and charging handle (DSA). Upper is gear logo Imbel. I have test fired it 20 rnds and works great. Includes 30 rnd DSA mag. Must be used with US made mags for 922r parts compliance. Have more FALs. Ammo is a bit pricey. Would like to get another cheaper gun to shoot + some $'s to fund some other projects. Also intere
  5. If you want a good deal on composit buy a Plumcrazy C15 lower. Cheap but good aluminum Surplus Ammo & Arms (made by Aero Percision) for around $60. I've built several on the SAA and all went together very well and they look nice. Here is a pic of a SAA I built on.
  6. What type of set up have you used to attach a sling on the front of the gun if you kept the stock Saiga handguard? I've got a Tapco buttstock with the side sling mount. Would like to rig up something to work with the stock h/g and be able to use a side mounted 2 point sling. Pics of what you have done would be great!
  7. Most Saigas only take the single hook trigger. You can use a double hook if you cut a slot in the receiver or cut the hook you don't have a slot for. I think some people cut it and use it as a trigger stop.
  8. Here is a pic of my .223 with the Berly mag.
  9. I've got a .223 Looks like the front sight block has a piece that comes out to the end of the muzzle making it bigger in diameter than the rest of the barrel. Was wondering if this is just slipped on there? Looks like the fsb is pinned on to the barrel. I was wondering if it would be easy to just cut off the end part that is in front of the fs so the barrel diameter would be the same on the muzzle end as the rest of the barrel? Don't want to have to remove the entire fsb to do it though. If it is too much of a pain, I'll leave it as is. I'm just one of those guys that like everything to be per
  10. Here is a link to the mags. They have new clear and used clear or black. http://www.robertrtg.com/berylclearmag.html
  11. He's got great customer service. He sent the wrong color grip by mistake. Recieved the proper one a few days after e-mailing. He sent it out before I could even get the wronge one to the post office. Gun is all matching and looks great now! Defintily satisfied with the products I received and the service.
  12. I just got some surplus byrle mags. I had to grind around the rear locking lug to get them to fit. They are polymer reinforced with metal. They fit nice and tight in the mag well. Feed great with dinzag bg. Got them from RTG for $25 each. Pretty nice. Were listed as used but look new to me. They also look right with the Saiga.
  13. They feed and function fine, but are a little wobbly in the mag well. Still a good deal for light, functioning mags.
  14. 5.56. My Galil mags fit my Saiga. Also, have ARs and Galil that both shoot 5.56. Easy to get brass for reloads. By cheap Tula steel case for $4.09 box. Federal for $5.58 box. Also if SHTF Nato rounds abound.
