  1. I put up a post a few weeks ago looking for fully rifled barrels. No luck yet. I'd probably have to buy a used rifled barrel from another shotgun and cannibalize it to make something work. I'm not sure if the barrel lug is actually part of the barrel or if it's shrink fit on it. I'll have to look into this a little more after hunting season.
  2. Another option for adding a choke tube is to have a external sleeve brazed or welded to your barrel that's got the internal threads for the choke tubes. This is something custom gun shops do when adding chokes to thin walled barrels, so they will probably have to make the adapter custom to fit the O.D. of the saiga barrel.
  3. I see you're in N.Y. also. If you can get those to work, I'm a welder and can do the work once you know it's a hit. I work in a fab shop so I've got access to all the right stuff.
  4. See. My thing is long range accuracy and consistant accuracy in general. I've been hunting with a H&R 980 ultra slug gun for the past 6 of 7 years. If anyone out here knows what I'm talking about, it's a 10ga blank with a 12ga fully rifled bore and it's as good as your gonna get for accuracy with a shotgun. The barrel weighs 9lbs on it's own. I have personally put down deer @ 200+ yds with this gun using Hornady xtp slugs. Sweet!!! I'm just looking to see what kind of serious accuracy parts are available. I just like to surprise people with the accuracy potential out of a shotgun.
  5. Does anyone make a semi heavy, fully rifled barrel for the Saiga's. My saiga is going to be a dedicated deer gun so it will only see slug action.
  6. Love the vid dude. When and how much?
  7. Not a problem. I'm a welder and a machinist. Been customizing everything I've owned since I learned to weld when I was 13. Yee Haw.
  8. Are the front HK sights easily available and how hard is it modifying them to mount on a s20. I already have the rear sight bracket made and ready to weld on to the rear cover. All I need now is the front.
  9. Hey Dinzag, Wanna sell any of those s20 mags? Are they all 5 rnders or all converted? I need 5 rnd mags. Ny sucks and I can't hunt with the high cap mags. I'm having a hard time finding 20ga mags.
  10. i'M A SHEETMETAL FABRICATOR AND i'VE BEEN TOYING WITH THE THOUGHT OF MAKING SOME MYSELF. aS SOON AS I DO i'LL LET YA'LL KNOW. IF I DO IT'S GONNA BE IN 20GA FIRST CUZ THAT'S WHAT I HAVE AND IT'S GONNA BE IN 5 ROUNDERS FIRST
  11. Can she get any 5 rnd 20ga mags? If she can, How much $$$ for each?
  12. Look Indy I didn't post this for criticism. I usually hunt with a single shot . I've been hunting with 1 for 14 years. I am hunting state land now and when they jump up the heavy barreled single just doesn't cut it. I don't need the mags necessarily for hunting. I just want them to have them. I am by no means a trigger happy shooter.
  13. Dude that conversion is sweet. I'm tryin to put together something similar for myself. I just bought the hk sights today. Getting a dragonov stock to put on it and I'm gonna make my own muzzle brake. I'll send some pics when it's done.
  14. 5 rnd 2 3/4 mags. Who's got the best prices and availability. I could use a couple sometime before november before deer season opens.
  15. Actually in all reality you can legally have a 6 rnd mag in N.Y state. N.Y.S hunting guidlines say that you can legally hunt deer with a shotgun with a capacity of no more than 6 shots.
  16. SS does look sweet but I agree with the extra strength of the 4140. Have you put any thoughts of color case hardening it?
  17. Even though Remington, Mossberg and benelli all manufacture and sell thumb hole semi's in N.Y. or is it all about the detachable mag?
  18. I bought a used siaga 20 for $200 and it functions sweet. I'll only be shooting slugs with it and I want to put a dragonov or thumb hole type stock on it. I know that i have to replace the trigger group. Can I legally get away with that stock on it in N.Y.
  19. I've just recently purchased a slightly used Saiga 20 for $200 that has only had 20 rds put through it and would like to do a stock conversion on it. What can or can't I do to it in N.Y. state? I would like to put a dragonov style stock on it and HK style sights. Any replies would be helpfull.
