  1. Went to the outdoor range this past weekend and did some optic sighting in. Ran about 100 rounds and as I expected the tube/stock was rock solid. The Magpul CTR with a .75" riser was just right.
  2. First off, I tried posting in the "Reviews" section but couldn't so here it is. The part arrived in a timely fashion and appeared to be very well made and finished. At first I didn't fully understand how adapter worked but after getting in touch with TAKD, Nathan called me (his dime) and straightened me out. Once I understood how it should fit (under the grip screw nut) I inserted the part into the end of the receiver. But the hole in the adapter didn't line up with the interior hole on the MAK-90 as can be seen in the photo above. It was obvious that the hole was not aligned corre
  3. Milla is always easy on the eyes; Now, back to our regularly scheduled topic....
  4. Often dealers have good deals on "trade ups", people outgrow their safes and instead of buying safe #2, they just get a bigger one and trade in the older, perfectly good safe.
  5. Didn't see the question until now;
  6. This why I spent what some might consider an excessive amount of money on a safe. I don't have a lot but loosing what I've worked for and put together from scratch would take a long time to get over. It's a good feeling to know my stuff is reasonably secure.
  7. Actually I seriously considered a Lincoln. I like the ball bearing hard plate, the 5 point handle and the 90 minute fire rating but I had to draw a line and got the Franklin. I'm sure I'll fill it up in time but the next money I spend is going to be on training.
  8. I looked at Winchester safes and from what I saw they look like good safes feature-wise.
  9. Thanks, I do plan to bolt it down but I'll have to rent a drill. The drill I have won't go through the slab I don't think. I won't say the door can't be pried open but with 6 bolts each on the inside and outside of the door and anti-pry tabs it will be a job and take a considerable amount of time. antipry-tabs.jpg You would be amazed the amount of motivation crack heads can come up with. I have seen bolted down 65kw generators full of fuel disappear off a job site. No need to drill thru the slab get some redhead wedge bolts.... I misspoke when I said "through" the slab...it will b

  11. I took delivery of my Liberty Franklin 50 safe one week ago today. There are certainly less expensive safes and less expensive Liberty safes. But after a lot of research and deliberation this is the one I chose. The specs that matter; 11 Gauge Steel Body Exterior Dimensions: 72.5" x 42" x 32" 60 MINUTES @ 1200 Degree Fire Rating 16 - 1.25" Diameter Bolts (2.375" Long) Interior Electrical Outlet "Deluxe" Door Panel 30.1 Cubic Ft. Interior Weight: 1,015 lbs Lifetime Limited Warranty Of course I did the thing where I wondered how much other "stuff" I could obtain for what
  12. What I have is 6 point star crimped like the photo in the OP.
  13. The deal is done but I thought I'd mention the Smith and Wesson 22A. We have 4 at the range and they get a lot of use from new shooters, beginner lessons etc. and run very well.
  14. There's a video of Sam (I think) running these shells in a Pro Mag 20 round drum in the listing. I snagged one case but I haven't gotten to test them yet.
  15. Easy to work with sums it up. Great deal, like NEW condition, Thanks a bunch!
  16. Pretty much everything you need to know about interstate transportation of firearms. D2142D, if you can't get to a local class maybe we can work something out to hook you up with a CWP...by the numbers according to S.L.E.D. of course.

  18. I've got a 7" Galaxy Tab made by Samsung which I obtained mainly for reading books. I have a few apps on it but I'd like to put a couple of good shooter type games on it. I'm not a gamer though and I'd prefer something that's not that involved. I have no interest in Angry Birds and such. I played Zombie Gunship on my nephew's iPhone which I liked a lot but it hasn't been done for Android (yet). Any ideas?
  19. When I read the story it reminded me of the Naquadah asteroid Anubis sent to destroy earth.
