  1. thanks for the info guys. just got it today so going to put some rounds through it before i start customizing. will update when i give it a go.
  2. I read a post, I think on another forum, and the guy made mention of needing to remove material from the hogue grip. So I won't need any of those grip nuts, or what have you that I see for sale?
  3. Are there any pictures or how to's on what needs to be done, and what parts are needed to install a hogue ak grip on a vepr?
  4. Will there be an difference in vepr rifles coming in, specifically a reduction in sporterization (for lack of a better word) features like we saw in the more recent vepr 12's? I'm specifically interested in information on the vepr 308.
  5. do we have any information on how they are improved?
  6. In an email correspondence with atlantic, they told me their veprs hit US shores on the 10th, and they anticipate (based on experience) roughly a 12 day period from there before they have them in hand.
  7. awesome! i'm not a very active poster here, but read like a mad man. your vepr 12 threads played a big part in choosing to put down a deposit on a vepr over grabbing the saiga iz-433. glad to see you'll be back posting more good info/pics.
  8. fair enough. i was away for turkey day and didn't want to ignore your reply.
  9. actual historical evidence right here in the united states pre-labor laws refutes everything you say would happen in your imaginary scenario. i'll ignore the personal insults here because i see an overall honest attempt to move away from that and have a reasonable conversation. the fact that an uninsured person may hurt another person does absotely nothing to explain the difference from the view i see expressed over and over here, that the government has no right to mandate individuals to pay for insurance. all you've done above is said its ok to cover the health costs of someone wh
  10. i'm talking about extending health coverage to hardworking honest americans. address what i said not some ridiculous strawman you put in its place. tell me why the guy who works 40 years for the same company, then gets fired as he approaches retirement so they can avoid paying him his pension deserves to die a slow painful death because he can't afford health insurance. tell me what he should do as an elderly man who now has a major health concern. i'd bet it has more to do with your inability to come up with reasonable and logical differences. if its so blatantly obvious anyone s
  11. Amend the ADA and add insurance denial to that as a discriminatory factor. That solves your issue. Now why should everyone be forced to buy it, pay a tax on it, and carry the burden of everyone else? ok, but how does that fit in with the free market i keep hearing about here? why would we need government regulation on insurance companies if the free market works as well as so many people with zero practical understanding of economics keep repeating? how about auto insurance? we are almost all forced by state governments to buy auto insurance from private companies. how is that so
  12. how does that stack up in your mind, vs the very common, and until recently legal, occurrence of rescission here in the US, where corporate insurance companies drop individual policies when they contract a serious health issue? or of insurance companies out right denying coverage if you have health issues?
  13. the UK. if you remove significant world power, as there have really only been a few countries that would legitimately qualify for that criteria on its own, the list of countries with universal healthcare who are trailblazers of innovation and technology is a very respectable length, and they rank much higher in quality of life, and most measurable health stats like longevity and infant mortality rate than the US. i have a financial background and i can honestly say many of the posters in this thread don't seem to understand economics nearly as well as they think they do. the presid
  14. i'm looking to pick up an IZ-332 and an IZ-433. are there any particularly attractive black friday deals anyone is aware of? this can be a BF catch all thread for all things saiga related, those are just the two models i'm actively in the market for.
