I sold the fixed stock, thinking that a 100 series was an impossibility. I picked up a folder from classic and also got a 12k from Legion so I would have a 100 series shotgun in the collection. I have been intending to do a write up on the 12k because there is not much information about them out there other than the website and one review.

Well it looks like my question has been answered in the kvar forum. It looks like these are a no-go for sbr with the factory barrel. Once you do the math on an expensive correct barrel and the fees a smith will charge these are not quite the bargain they appear to be. I already have a beautiful Bulgarian-made kit kink so spending over 2grand on another one after its all said and done isn't that appealing.

I was ready to pull the trigger on one of the new krinks kvar is offering when I saw in several online posts that the twist rate was 1in8 the same as a 16" barrel. I have read that cutting down a 16" for a krink build can lead to accuracy issue and keyholing because a krink needs a 1in6 twist rate to stabilize the 5.45 round. Would one of the experts on this board give a go or no-go on this issue for the sir 104ur. I would like to pick one up but if it is going to be a dog as an sbr I don't want one. Thanks in advance for any input or info shared, Bart

I almost ordered one of the 104ur krinks but the 1in8 twist rate kind of spooked me. I don't want a krink that might keyhole if you sbr it. I had the order entered with my credit info and everything when a moment of caution came over me and I decided to do some more research. When I get some concrete info that these are good to go for sbr I will be picking one up. I was looking for tidbits for the 104ur when I came across those breaks and thought I might be able to help you out.

Thanks for the info guys. I just decided to get one of the classicarms vepr folders and sold off my fixed stock. I am kinda regretting selling the fixed stock since I saw the pics of one with a magpul UBR on it. I also picked up a Saiga 12K from legion so I got my 100series folder shotgun jones taken care of. I have been planning to do a review on the 12k because there just wasn't much info out there before I got mine and there is a couple of things I would have liked to have known before purchase. Alex was great to deal with.

I think I might have found one on ebay. It looks shorter in the picture. Give them a holler and see if it the one you are looking for. for some reason I cant paste the link in this reply. I just typed krinkov in the search bar and it was one of the first few items. The vendor is: tc-tactical, Now that I looked at the K-var link you provided it might be the same one. OK one more time. AA-OK has the one you are looking for 2.5" length, but I have always been a little leery of them for some reason. Maybe worth giving them a call.

Hi all, I have a Russian side folder that I would like to have put on my fixed stock Vepr12. Is there anyone that has done this mod and are any smiths offering it? Thanks in advance
