  1. My local Fleet Farm has a pallet of the 1080 packs for $165. Seeing how hard they are to find makes me really want to pick up a Saiga and a couple of cans.
  2. First off, don't waste your money on a slide fire stock. If you know what you're doing you can easily modify a Tapco stock and make your own for about $70. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIcYVOJqWgk As for the rail, I would say that a Titan is the absolute best you can buy. If you don't feel like spending that, get a regular hand guard. Any other quad rail looks bad in my opinion. If you like the looks of it, then you should buy whatever you want. http://www.gunsnet.net/showthread.php?16689-DIY-Homemade-Slide-Fire-%28bumpfire%29-stock-for-AK-47
  3. If you want AK style sights, buy a Krebs sight. Don't pay so much for a wooden stock that (I'm assuming) you are going to throw out in the conversion.
  4. 1. Check the gas ports 2. Try polishing yourself (if you have a dremel) 3. Buy the kit 4. Glassbolt Instead of buying the kit I bought a Tac-47 autoplug and the CSS gas puck and now I can cycle most low brass loads. Winchester Universal even works on a good day.
  5. I have decided I am sick of all my FTEs and am finally going to invest in some quality parts. At first I was considering the CSS Reliablitly kit, but then I heard about the Autoplug. What I want to know is if the Autoplug is any less reliable with low brass loads than the MD Arms or DPH plugs. If I get the okay with the Autoplug I will buy that and buy the CSS puck and spring separately.
  6. All those upgrades and he never bothered to convert it?
  7. Obtain a dremel and try polishing the bolt yourself. If the problem still exists, send it in to get it polished. I would reccommend a glass bolt over the reliability kit.
  8. Way to deliver! There are way too few instructional videos on Saigas.
