  1. Just to update you all. I got my DDI 12 right after I mentioned it a few posts back. I took it out and shot it along with my S12 and Vepr12. I got about 20 rounds or so through it and it jammed up. The bolt had a chunk break off of it like has been shown before. I e-mailed DDI and they promptly sent me a shipping label to send it back. It then took a couple of weeks and a few e-mails to get my credit back to my card due to lack of follow up from Atlantic and DDI. They responded after I e-mailed them but they should have just taken care of it. Customer service I would give a 5 for both
  2. I saw on AK files that Sublimeon sold his and was going to get a VEPR12. I went ahead and bought a DDI12 from Atlantic. I hope it makes it to my FFL today so I can find out if it is a POS this weekend. I figure worse case scenario I would make them trade me for a AK rifle if it sucks, I hear decent things about the stuff they actually make. I have a Saiga12 and a VEPR12 so I think I should be able to do a reasonable and unbiased review. I just ordered one because I am sitting on a ton of Saiga12 accessories and thought it would be nice to have another gun that uses the same stuff
  3. Well, I took my gun over to my buddy's place that does all of my polishing on my aluminum hot rod parts. He polished up the bolt and the carrier for me on his big buffing wheel. I told him not to do the whole carrier but he did it anyway, I guess I will just have to make sure it is well oiled all the time now. I took it out and shot it on Friday. It still wouldn't cycle the Winchester bulk pack, but it will run the Federal just fine. I could probably do a little more hammer and carrier profiling besides just rounding the corners off and removing all the parting lines, but I will probably
  4. I ordered some 10 rounders from Arms of America on Dec 23 and it showed they had them in stock. I have not received them, and I can't get any e-mail confirmation of whether or not I will. I just get an automated e-mail back any time I try to contact them.
  5. Gunfun, I had already read your reliability Process post and sanded down the rails, I don't think any profiling has been done on the trigger, so maybe I will work on that this weekend.
  6. The gas block isn't blocking any of the holes, I already opened it up. I guess I will do a little polish work and see where that gets me before I do any more drilling.
  7. I had been kicking around buying a Saiga 12 for a while and of course once the shit hit the fan I figured I better act quick. I ordered a Century Arms conversion from J&G on Dec 22 as well as 2 MD20 drums and an extra 5 round mag. It all showed up at my FFL on Thursday and I picked it up on Saturday. I have a bitchin' set of tools and all and probably could have done the conversion myself, but the gun looked fine to me except the handle was a little loose which wasn't a big deal to tighten back up. I was just happy to get my hands on one especially since I got the whole package for rig
