  1. I'm not sure offhand what the policy is here regarding links to products for sale, so erring on the conservative side I'll give you the steps instead of a link: Go to Amazon and search for "hogue ak storage". The top results will include the grip by itself, the storage kit by itself, and a grip/storage kit combo.
  2. I had no issue installing my Hogue grip (no modifications needed) once the stock grip was off. Used the new hardware that came with it. As for removing the stock grip, for sure that was no fun, the screw just didn't want to be backed out and it practically felt like the screwdriver would somehow break/tweak before that screw would move any further with all the torque I was putting on it... Until I found a method that worked for me: I unscrewed/backed out the screw about 3/4 of a turn, then as the screw resisted, I screwed it back in about 1/4 of a turn. Then backed out again around 3/4
  3. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Tromix Mini-Monster. I installed one on my V12 before the first time I fired it. I fired it at indoor and outdoor ranges, and now am starting to get curious about how it would feel w/o the brake. I will likely try it on & off the next time I go to the range. I definitely don't like the added weight (wish they made it in aluminum), and it's horrible indoors having all the gases blown back in your face; my eyes would start tearing up in some instances. Possibly a necessary evil though depending on how effective it is with reducing recoi
  4. Yeoldetool, thanks for the response. After researching this more, I am choosing NATO length (including recoil-reduction buttpad), which is "1 click back" in my original post. Keeping in mind everyone is built a little different, and the "right" answer is what works for each person, here are a few of the points/thoughts that came up while looking into this, in case it's helpful to anyone: This is a pistol gripped, AK platform firearm with rifle sights. Cannot simply treat it like a traditional "sporting" shotgun with regards to the metrics used for determining stock length. Stance pla
  5. Some pics of mine installed, w/ accessories. Also, here's the short video I used for removing the gas tube from the handguard using a vice. As simple as it is, it helps to see it done first and realize it's ok to use the force that's needed, especially for us mechanical-idiot types.
  6. Sorry in advance for the length, hope that folks will take the time to read & weigh-in. Thanks. I'm installing a KickLite (M4 style) stock. I can't use an adjustable stock where I live, so I need to permanently pin before I can fire it. This is my first SG, and I only have 1 session/200 rounds with it (with the 9.25" Warsaw-length Tapco). My V12 will likely be 99.99% paper target shooting/fun (indoor & outdoor), plus home def in the unlikely event such a situation came up and I also had the time & desire to get to the V12 over my (closer) .45. If I used at home, frankly I
