  1. It's always nice to find I'm not the only one who's impatient. Such a kid, really! There's been a waiting list (at AGP, and Atlantic) for this batch, and the one before, and probably the next... I'll suspect that list was e-mailed around 30 January, for a separate link, to actually place orders. I did, on 2 Feb. (#416) The, around 12 Feb Ben from AGP posted to this forum, and web page updated to allow gen-pop sales. Gen-pop would be any personnel NOT already notified through separate e-mail. My sense is they got components in around beginning Feb., and have been busy slapping th
  2. In answer to my own question, MEC apparently makes press for steel-hull shotshells like Bernaul. MEC Bernaul stuff looks nice. MagTech also makes steel shotshell brass. MagTech But, NOT at WalMart I'm guessing here, but I'll bet the press is adjustable as to depth of the roll holding the components in, eliminating magazine problems. That's my hope, too. As far as "silence" reference above, suspect whoever it was was too busy bustin caps to write; and then had to shower before bedtime. That'll be my excuse anyway... jh
  3. Any reloaders here? How do you reload the Barnaul shells? It seems I've seen it mentioned somewhere, but "oldtimers disease" has kicked in and now I can't find the reference! Help? jh
  4. Hey! Why do I NOT like the look of this: Warn: (0%) ##### ? Did I offend somebody somehow? jh
  5. Your order has been completed successfully. UPS tracking information may take up to 24 hours to show online. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Order id: #416 I love this country, and AGP too. jh
  6. 10 pack of 5 rd, done deal. 8 rd, oh yeah, them too. Let me/us know when and where. jh
  7. Freakin' computers! It'll only let me sign it once. That's just WRONG. FWIW, can I be hopeful that our fellow citizens will get tired of some of the cock-eyed fantasies our "leaders" are indulging in, and vote the pendejo's OUT in '08? I'm hopin', but I'm also talking about it and voting! jh
  8. I've been wandering around the site, trying to soak it all up. Bookmarked many of the vendors listed at various times for mods, mags, parts... Seen some vendors referenced as slow-shippers (Russian-American Arms?), and some get raves(Tromix, AGP). What is the current group view of who's hot, and who's not, for parts, mods, etc? I ordered 2 5-rd mags for Saiga-12 from Stanleys Pro Shop (www.stanleysproshop.com) on Tuesday evening. Thursday afternoon there they are, and they fit, loaded, on a closed bolt, and they were priced better than others I've seen. Great outfit. Who else has an o
  9. www.stanleyproshop.com as of this morning, had 5 rd mags in stock, 35.96 each.
  10. It's not about Carter. It's not about Bush. It's the Office, not the individual. Our 'leaders' have been lacking, to a greater or lesser extent, moral strength and any vision for the country. I see good points and bad points to all the leaders we've had since Eisenhower. Current generation responds too quickly to 'world opinion', reader-polls, and soundbite terrorism. They have all "lacked the 'nads" to choose a direction, publically and clearly stated the reasons for their decision(s), and moved ahead in a consistent way to completion. Reagan stands out as somewhat exceptional. Our c
  11. More than likely, if it's a Democratic one, they'll hire Jimmy Carter to engage in a dialog with islam-o-fascists. "If we only understood why they hate us, we could throw a few billion more dollars to them in aid, and all get along..." Meanwhile Congress will throw more money (ours, not theirs) at all the social ills here at home. Universal medical care, free education for anyone who can get across the border, eradicate poverty by taking what some have worked for, and giving it to those who won't, more muzzling of political-action-committees (or at least of those they don't like). I could
  12. Who'd a thunk it? I'll give it a whirl. 'More study is needed' as they say. Thanks. jim
  13. Hunter78; thanks for the answers, 1-4. I appreciate the info. As to the why of possibly modifying position of safety, I'm thoroughly accustomed to M1A and Ruger Mini-30 actions. I expect the safety to be in a specific location. Partly lazy, partly 'old-timers disease". Also, why not? Finally, I guess, for the same reason all the other posts for flash suppressors, telescopic sights, raised front sight posts, fancy handguards and headlights... Boys and their toys. Nothing's ever perfect. But I'll probably wait till I can get aholt of a new receiver to try anything. Hate to scuff up my
  14. Greetings to all: Great forum! i've always wondered when somebody would get around to making a mag-fed shotgun. I got mine yesterday as a b-day present to myself. Now I've a few questions I'm not yet able to answer. Any help is appreciated. 1. Choke markings: I've searched all over the receiver. I find the bore dia, Certification, testing. It's marked appropriately for Saiga 12 (18,3), but nowhere do I see a mark for choke. (F0.9 or F1.0) Does that mean it's a cylinder bore? Manufacture date is June 06, 19" threaded bbl. 2. What is "Paradox" referred to in the manual table for cho
