  1. I was able to salvage the gas block (for now) and put the gun back together so it functions. Still looking to find one, but it's not as critical now. Utah: I used an air hammer to get it off, drilled the ports, and used the air hammer to put it back on. When I put the air hammer on it, I inadvertently put it on the side that has the hole for the gas puc spring/detent, and it collapsed/deformed the hole into the threads for the gas puc. 2. Did a port job on the gun today and jacked up the gas block while trying to put it back on. Have called around the country and NOBODY has one. I'm hoping to find someone on here who is either parting out a gun or has one lying around after upgrading to an aftermarket gas block. PM or email me aggieemt at Hotmail dot com. Thanks in advance...
  3. +1 for using the air hammer to get the gas block off. -10 to me for placing the blade directly over the detent spring hole when I put it back on, thereby collapsing the walls of the hole. Be very careful when putting it back on (better yet, use a piece of brass or aluminum as someone said). I was able to drill out the burrs on the detent spring hole, but the threads the gas puck screw into are mangled, so my gas block is trashed. -100 for lack of places to find an OEM gas block. Currently looking for one, so if anyone has one that they took off and replace during an upgrade, PLEASE con
  4. I'm looking for one as well... OP, if you find a source for one, please let me know and I'll do the same. My email is aggieemt at Hotmail dot com for the second one that comes available TIA
