  1. I got one of these months ago and for the same price as well. I live in CA so I did not want to add a bullet button on my Saiga, but after a lack of options for non converted stocks I eventually caved in. If you don't want to do a full conversion then this would be the best option available.
  2. That wouldn't look too bad if you managed to somehow make it fit on a Saiga. I live in CA so I know how you feel, I eventually just gave in and had to install a bullet button on my rifle.
  3. My unconverted Saiga with a skeleton stock, KVAR handguard, dinzag trigger job, dinzag vented gas tube, bushnell trs 25 red dot and guntec side mount. I live in California so I had to also put a bullet button on my rifle. I've been using US made magazines to be compliant but will be doing a gas piston change in the near future to be able to use the original magazines.
  4. I'd recommend the one from Dinzag Arms. I received mine a few days ago and the installation was really easy, your Saiga is going to look a whole lot better.
  5. At first the only thing I did was paint the hand guard and stock od green. Then I wanted to do a conversion but because I live in CA, anything with a pistol grip needs a bullet button, which made me not want to go that route. I also bought some original Saiga clips from ebay and I would like to keep using them. So far the only things I could find that you can change on an unconverted Saiga are the hand guards, stock, and trigger. I ended up putting a tapco hanguard, dinzag trigger job, and tapco stock on my saiga. Well lets just say it doesn't look too pretty since I opted from putting th
  6. Thanks for the advice! I've been looking at the Bushnells red dot sights.
  7. Being able to use the iron sights make this a tempting buy.
  8. Any one ever try one of these? I'm looking for a side mount to put a red dot on my Saiga and this has caught my attention. http://www.amazon.com/Saiga-Double-Compliant-see-thru-feature/dp/B00ILGODOY
  9. Hey welcome home man. I would look around to see if you can get something a bit cheaper. I live in CA and I bought one a couple of months of ago for $559. I haven't done any mods to my saiga other then painting the stock and hand guard, hopefully your state allows you more freedom than we get over here.
  10. Here is an update on my Saiga. After firing some 20 round it looks like the paint did not hold. I rushed to get it painted and so I didn't sand or used any kind of primer on these pieces. I don't know if it was the paint but here is a picture of what I bought at Lowe's. What do you guys think?
  11. I bought a steel 10 round mag for $35 on ebay.
  12. Thanks for all the info guys. I think for now I'm just going to keep it as is, not too fond of the mag lock and I just bought an extra 10rd mag. Also is there another stock I can switch out with the original one and keep it legal?
  13. I finally decided to paint my Saiga's hand guard and stock. I've only had this rifle for a month now but just had to give a different look and went with the od green. I bought the can at Lowe's and so far it looks good and seems to be holding. I've been wanting to change the stock but I live in California and I'm not too sure on what I'm allowed to do here. The dragunov stock looks prety good but I don't think I can get it here because of the handgrip. Let me know what you guys think and any advice is welcomed.
