recoil spring can damage the front trunnion. spring made by wolff.

pmc 855 has been known to be waaay hotter than federal xm 855. So hot that I have had popped primers and about 3000 fps out of a 14.5 inch barrel (pinned brake)

Just got done with my conversion. It looks sweet. I kept the original handgaurd used kvar buttstock (warsaw length) arsenal trigger single stage with the bulgarian hammer, (yes I am 922gRrreat) Has anybody used this trigger and hammer? I really like it. It seems to ride higher than the stock saiga one therefor probly helping with the thrust of the bolt carrier into the trunnion (yep worry wort me). I am happy with my decision. This is awesome. Should I buy up as much 7n6 as possible?

Cool thanks a lot for that tip. I think I will just shoot 500 rounds then check it again. It isnt really mashin up the tip of the bullet that bad anymore.

Can anyone else relate to this? I think I can take my dremel with a hard felt pointed polishing bit with some polishing compound and hit the ramp that is already there just to make it feed that much better. I just don't wanna mess anything up.

yes it does but i just wanna make sure. its actually so close now that shooting a thousand rounds through it will probobly clean it up on its own from the rounds cycling huh?

So I have figured out the deal with my 5.45x39 bullet guide trip. I think the little beveled part at the bottom of the chamber needs to be either polished or enlarged just a tad bit. I am a DIY-er for sure I can do this. How can I do this with out compromising the chamber support? Will it be ok to do this.

Ya that sounds great. So is it safe to ramp it like that? I mean will the chamber still support the case. Kind of like Glock 40 cals. or any Glock for that matter..

Yes it has thank you all for your input. The reason I start asking now is because I never heard anything bad about them until recently. And I never look at it that way about the cost of ammo because I usually dont have to pay money for mine. I do a lot of "work" for it usually. And the saiga rifle is more important to me than money is at this point being that they are banned. i just want it to last as long as possible. thanks again guys.

So if I throw one from the CSS the blue one in my saiga it will not pop the rivets out from the bcg hitting it?

Ok rhodes so what is the best buffer? it would make sense that it COULD do more damage but if it truly is hitting really hard on the rear trunnion wouldnt metal to metal be worse than metal to rubber? i ordered bother the wolff extra power recoil spring and a buffer from carolina shooter supply. i have always ran a buffer, even my 80k+ round ak47 (saiga) has had one for about 78,000 of the rounds through it with no sign of rivets deforming, it also has the wolff XP spring.

So do not run a buffer and let this trunnion peen up...i only shot 100 rounds today, i would hate to see what it looks like in 5000,, i dont think there would be anything left. is it gonna hurt anything to run a buffer?

k then i am good to go. does it hurt the rifle to heat up with heat gun to remove red loc tited screw. i had to to put the aluminum can shim under it. then i re applied the red loctite? you think it will hold with the aluminum can shim? thanks a lot fellas.
