  1. Hey, I just installed the same stock using the two screws at the top; your stock will never budge with those two screws there. Don't worry.
  2. Damnit I feel like a moron; the stock does not have any screw holes in it yet snuggly fits in place... It does wobble slightly and I cannot remove it despite attempting to pry it off.... Should I make drill holes and pray that I hit the holes where the screws rest in the gun.. or should I just put some JB weld in there and cross my fingers? I like the stock and have no intention of replacing it. Slide the new stock all the way onto the rifle.Then,get a drill bit slightly smaller that the existing screws.Then, drill the holes into the new stock, while it is installed on the rifle.Then,i

  4. I have had the same issue occur the past two times shooting my Saiga; and I have only shot it on two occassions now. Please note I was using Wolf ammunition on both occassions. The first day I went to the range I placed a fresh clip in the magazine and loaded the bullet and than pressed the trigger and that only resulted in a clicking sound. I then ejected the ammunition and there was a slight dent on the bullet, so I discarded that round and loaded two more rounds and the problem occurred two times after that. Same problem the next day I took my gun to the range. Please note
  5. Layle, brotha, As stupid as 922r is, no one here condones breaking it. We are the legal gun owners in the country who comply with the rules, and frown on those who do not. These are the people who make it easier for the gun-grabbers to take our toys. That being said, I would hate for LE or ATF to be trolling this forum and read that, and classify this group of owners as law-breakers. I'm not flaming ya', just trying to warn you tactfully before one of our less-than-tactful members jumps in your ass. Understandable. Would not want to contribute to the stereotypical perceptio
  6. I may need a few classes at a machine shop before I decide to bore holes into my gun, hence why I am purchasing simple mods that add the parts I would like without the knowledge required to fully convert the Saiga. Who is this Cobra you speak of? Would be interested in mailing out my foregrip and having slots drilled in it. Thanks!
  7. http://209.62.62.111/index.php?request=mai...;categoryid=439 According to others on the forum this stock is not compliant; but I live in an area where I see a law enforcement official once every other year.
  8. Hopefully this mitigated any potential problems; I purchased an American-made 30-rd capacity magazine rather than a foreign one. Is there more involved in making my weapon compliant with the law or is it at spec now?` Oh, and, will an ak-47 muzzle break work on the saiga? Anyone know of a fore-grip accessory I could purchase and simply screw into place? Or do I need to customize it myself to keep it legal? Pardon all of the redundant questions; as of a week ago I knew very little about rifles.
  9. Thanks for the assistance everyone! I ended up purchasing the skeleton stock and the 30 round magazine, and 1000 rounds of Wolf Ammunition since I am an idiot when it comes to using drills on weapons; not that the ammo has anything to do with customizing my weapon. I do have a question; where do I find the front barrel piece that has the slots in it? http://forum.saiga-12.com/uploads/monthly_...38696_thumb.jpg Do I apply that by simply unscrewing and removing the current one?
  10. Glad I did not purchase a lemon; I knew nothing about the Saiga brand of rifles other than it looked similar to an Ak-47 and it was the only Russian weapon in store that was in flawless condition. Several questions for the forum members here: 1. How do I remove the two screws holding the default stock in place? I have tried using a flathead screwdriver and almost stripped the screws in the process; they are not budging. 2. Anyone else own this magazine? Can anyone vouch for whether or not it actually operates without any problems? http://www.gilbertsguns.com/index.php?requ...;
