  1. The stock is a standard WASR10 "dragunov" style stock. Fits on perfectly.. no mods needed to it or the receiver. The scope is a Russian self adjusting PK-01 RED DOT style scope with the AK mount and the offset rings. Works very nice for hunting rabbit and squirrel, as well as trap shooting. not many people shoot skeet with a .410, but it DOES shoot great!! With the zero power red dot, you can EASILY keep both eyes open, and still have a very fast target aquisition. where the red dot goes, the shot pattern will center.
  2. Hey Cobra... Check out EAA's website, you can buy those choke tubes directly from them... BUT... DONT BUY the package.. ( with three tubes in it) because for the price, you will just get a second thread protector.. just buy the improved cylinder choke and the full choke separately.. best way to go about it.. specially at like 15 bucks for the extra thread protector, when you buy the package.
  3. Ok, Ok... let me se if I can remmeber how to post a pic... been a while...
  4. Definitely VERY COOL! Always cool to see a lil project work out with simple things you just happen to have handy... especially when it WORKS! And MAN... that DOES WORK!!! VERY COOL!!!
  5. I have 2 of the 3" magnum magazines and one for the 2.5" shells. I have *NEVER* wait... let me rephrase that... *N*E*V*E*R* had a shell misfeed in my Saiga.. EVER!!!! I have used Remington, barnaul, sellier and bellot... I have shot SLUGS, shot, buckshot loads, the whole 9 yards.. plastic casings, metal casing... NEVER had a problem.. but then.. I know to run SHORT shells thru the SHORT mag and LONG SHELLS thru the LONG MAGS... kinda self explanitory.. lends a DUH , if ya cant figure that out...
  6. Oh yeah!!! Just west of Syracuse NY!!!! Gotta love it!
  7. Hey Cobra.... WHere did you get that STOCK for the AK??? THATS BADASS!!!! I would LOVE To grab me up one of them myself!!! TOO COOL!
  8. Ya know... I have ALWAYS wondered myself, about that 5 US parts deal... WHO IS going to take your gun, and take it apart and look at the parts to see if they are really made in the USA or not?!?!?! I have been to the shooting range when the local police force was there qualifying.. half the guys came over to the bench I was at.. and were checking out my converted Saiga, my Romanian PSL, as well as my converted 10/22... They only asked if they could try em out... and were more than happy to check them out and admire them, and SHOOT THEM... NONE even THOUGHT to question if the Saiga was
  9. I still see a lot of folks wondering abnout conversions, and posting pics of the AK looking "saiga" I dont think that it WAS ever a true saiga .410 converted... but either a prototype, or an AK variant posted as a conversion.. but hey.. I COULD be wrong.. if I am... please let me know.. and cite your proofs.. cause I would be VERY happy to learn.. happy holidays to yall on the saiga forum!!! Mike (Indyarms)
  10. You should have looked in the "shotgun news" I have seen them there for $149.00 Still $199.00 isnt a bad price to grab one at a local dealer...
  11. Check my Dragunov - Saiga posting here, and see some pics I did of mine... email me, and I can tell you there what I did... the conversion wasnt too hard... but you will need an AK style trigger to start with, and some basic tools...

    conversion?

It sounds to me that anyone willing to TRY to shoot .444 marlin out of ANY .410 gauge shotgun is just looking to have some SERIOUS pressure issues.. That, and probably one less .410 shotgun... I would tie it to a TREE... and tie a VERY long string to the trigger... and hide behind something SUBSTANTIAL... you might even get lucky enough to have your barrel look like one of them straight out of looney tunes. But hey... let us ALL know how it goes.. We are doing this, after all, in the interest of SCIENCE!
  13. HEY there!!!! Check out this link to the EAA corp website... It lists an exploded view of the Saiga 410, and the prices of the components... Whether they can send to europe, I do not know, or even if it is worth it to you, however, there is the parts list and pricing. http://www.eaacorp.com/parts/diagrams/saiga410lg.shtml Hope that helps you out!!!
  14. OK! Fair enough... if it is the same forend on the .308 rifles... the question STILL remains... WHERE to find one ????
  15. Come on FOLKS!!!! You are all supposed to KNOW these things!!! LOL OK!!! check this SWEET looking .410 out... with all the wood furniture its sexy! http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/saiga-410.shtml Now SOMEONE out there has GOT TO KNOW where to get one of these forends!!!
  16. I have no idea what size the hole is... you can probably get a schematic diagram from the factory, and perhaps the gas piston/bolt/bolt carrier assembly as well... check the Izhmash website.. and "contact" info... you might get lucky... you might get directed to someone that CAN hook you up.. I for one, do not have any idea where to get the parts you want, honestly. Sorry dude...
  17. IS there anyone out there who knows where I can get a WOODEN forend for the Saiga .410? ( like the one shown at the Izhmash site) That would be SO SWEET with the dragunov stock I have on my gun now... It would certainly balance it out nicely!
  18. I do not believe they are the same... From what I have gathered, Izhmash has retooled the boltcarrier and gas piston for the Saiga line. This is because of the extra clearances needed for the difference in size between the .410 shell casing and the 7.62X39 cartridge. You cannot use a Saiga bolt/bolt carrier in an AK nor vice versa...The bolt from a Saiga will NOT fit in the AK bolt carrier. You should be able to get a Bolt Carrier assembly for the saiga with gas piston, I would think... however I have no idea where. The REAL question is why did you get one that was NOT Semi-auto????
  19. The stock I put on the saiga is as mentioned, the ones that come on/made for the WASR-10 rifles... It will fit without ANY adjustments.. The one you have mentioned in that link, I do not think will fit properly... The one for the WASR has a "stair step" patten getting larger the lower and more forward the inserted portion gets. The ones for the WASR-10 also have a very long slit by the grip, The receiver will then fit into this slit, allowing you to slide the stock into the receiver. The lowest, longest portion of the stock will fit into the receiver just past the forward most rivet(
  20. You dont have to DO ANYTHING to the stock, except SLIDE IT IN PLACE once the trigger assembly is moved forwards. It will fit perfectly, and all screw holes line up where they are supposed to.
  21. Actually, the stock screw holes all align with the holes already in the receiver and once the lower pins are removed ( to move the trigger assembly forward) you have 4 more holes at the BASE you can put screws into as well, if you desire. Its pretty solid.. as I mentioned, I have ran a box of shells thru it, with no mishaps.. it shot beautifully..
  22. Just wanted to mention... With the new stock, it decreases the overall length of the gun.. couple that with the Russian red dot scope and the standard AK offset rings.. it really is a dream to shoot and DOES shoot well, as you tend to tuck it in a lot closer than you would with the conventional stock option. I ran about 50 rounds through it sunday at the range, shooting both targets and sporting clays.. it performed flawlessly!
  23. m_gun@mail.ru is the email address of someone that has the ten round mags available in russia.. and will send them to the USA.. I got that email from ebay... its valid and current... However, he ONLY accepts western union money transfers, and charges almost what the gun is worth for TWO mags!!! ( $115.00 plus shipping) NOT worth it in my opinion... but hey.. if ya want ten rounders... hes your guy..
  24. I just created this little TWEAK of my Saiga .410 friday... It took just a few hours, with the right parts on hand, and the tools to do the job, as well as the know how of what I needed to do, and what I needed to have when I was finished! If you like what you see here, please email me at: Mikeindy@adelphia.net I will be happy to answer any questions if I can.... Thanks!!
