  1. I have to agree with gunfixr, the shop I work is very much a family vibe. I don't spend a whole lot of time out front but I have never seen any of the guys at our shop act like an asshole. -E
  2. Yes I have asked her, her answer is usually something like "thats your thing" or "I don't want to bother you and your friends" I have asked her to go down when I go alone, but she usually has other stuff to do. Nope, she doesn't have any female friends that shoot, her brothers both do and I do, most of our mutual friends do. -E
  3. In the current situation around the country, recession, increased crime, and the eminent threat of a shtf situation has convinced me that the little woman needs to learn to shoot and defend herself. How in the hell do I convince her that it is a good idea? She totally supports my love of firearms, hell she bought me a reloading press for christmas. She just doesn't seem interested. Help Please! Especially would like the ladies opinions. -E
  4. I have had steel cases with some slight surface corrosion, nothing to worry about. However if it is deeper rust with pitting, its junk. To keep my steel case from rusting I pack it in ammo cans with rubber seals and throw in a bunch of the silica gel (desicant) packs. Keep in mind that the ammo may be fine with surface rust but it "could" score or scratch the chamber of your weapon. -E

    My new job

Started working at a gunshop part time last week, they do some saiga conversions there. There is currently a S-12 SBS there, pretty cool looking and we have 2 more waiting for conversion. -E
  6. .223 is boxer just like the 9mm and .45acp. It works pretty good. Now I have the fun job of sorting through a 5gal pail full of spent steel cases Thats gonna be a whole lot of fun. -E
  7. Czechoslovakian 1953 7.62x54r Lead Core Heavy Ball I purchased some of this a couple years ago when it was cheap. I was going through my steel case pickups from the last couple times I went shooting and found 3 or 4 with a large gash down the side. Looks like they blew out in the chamber. I was firing them from a Mosin Nagant which the reciever is mad overkill strong, so I didn't even notice till now. Just be Careful -E
  8. Heard some rumors that you can reload wolf .223 steel cased ammo. I decided to give it a whirl. Loads fine, chambers in both of my ARs, fires fine. Who knew? -E
  9. Anyone have a source for finding good cowboy loads for single action revolver? I want something similar characteristics to winchester .45 colt cowboy loads. Thanks -E

  17. I can't say that I ever owned a real bad gun, however I have shot 3 that are tied for worst. Jeminez 9mm Hipoint 9mm Sigma .40s&w The sigma at least would shoot, the trigger on that gun sucks though. The best is a tie also. AR-15 7.5" .223 "Pistol" Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull Both of these are a dream to shoot, if you like big powerful handguns.
  18. I have a Bayard model 1908, it is a .32 auto pistol. Anyone know of a source for parts for these? I need a recoil spring. Any help would be great. -E
  19. The northeast isn't all bad, I live in NH its laws are very good, it is a shall issue state. VT is also a good state to live in, you don't even need a permit to carry in VT. Maine and upstate NY are also ok areas to live. Mass, Conn, and the NYC are probably some of the worst places to live outside of PRK. -E
  20. I have a few knives myself, I like my Cold steel Tanto, and my M7 and M9 bayonets. These however are very impractical to carry on a daily basis, so I carry a Leatherman Wave, Its a great multitool and still has a useful knife unlike most multitools. -E
