  1. is this project still a go, or have we decided to scrap it?
  2. Well I have two russian, and a Romanian laying around in a box somewhere. But I do know that when I had them out they would fit on my Romy AK, but had TONS of slack around the barrel
  3. If all else fails, does anyone know the ID for an AK bayonet?
  4. hell those are tempting, I think I have one of those laying around somewhere
  5. Idealy I would like to have the bayonet slide over the barrel, but if we had to put two parts on the barrel to have the bayonet hang lower that would okay also.
  6. I would LOVE to do it, but my Saiga is still at the factory. My FFL refuses to order one gun from a store, when he could save on shipping if he had two coming. I offered to pay my own shipping, but he said it's killer, and he gets awsome deals. Oh well it will be soon enough. Besides he's not charging me an FFL fee so it's all good I guess
  7. I think you could, I bet I (or anyone who welds) could have you running awsome beads by that same night. Besides hunting, guns, riding quads, and camping welding is my other love Well now I know that they are NOT regulated I WILL buy one if you make them
  8. If you make them, I'll buy one I was just wondering about the parts game. Correct me if I'm wrong please, but isn't a bayonet, and a bayo mount each parts that have to be watched? I'm at work right now, and can't go looking for it right now
  9. why couldn't the "lug" be removable? My reasoning is not too many people here would have access to a MIG/TIG welder to put a true bayo lug on their gun. Not to mention the chance of messing the barrel harmonics up (not that big of a deal if it's smooth bore) I was thinking of a scope ring type of lug. One that could be slid over the barrel, then tightened down when it was in the right place. If you want it off, just loosen the screw and slide it off. Just a thought
  10. I'll throw my two cents in here. It has been reported that "baking" a magazine spring in an oven at 450 degrees for 15 minutes will restore its original temper. I have donw this with one of my pistol mags and now it stretched too far, and can only hod seven rounds. You might want to consider "how many shot you NEED." Do yo need all eight rounds? or would six do okay? Most of the "rules" about leaving magizines loaded say to drop one or two rounds out to keep the spring from being compressed all the way down. You all can take it for what it's worth.
  11. Why do I not doubt this Who has the hold open? I wouldn't mind spending more green for that little feature. On anther note, what about putting one on myself?
  12. So how much reaming are we talking about? Why could one dremmel out the material, then rubber dip the ring of the m16 bayonet to help protecte the finnish?
  13. Sorry if I started a fight between you two over some idiots stupidity.
  14. There is a much larger show next weekend, so if there is nothing there I think I'll order it.
