  1. What scoutjoe said. I've posted a scan of the letter from the alphabet gang around here somewhere. so by turning the old disconnector thing, into a trigger, it should be a new part BTW: it worked like a charm
  2. Well, I ordered a new tapco trigger set, going to be here in a week, which is too long lol. so I am welding up the old saiga trigger to the old saiga disconnector block thing, in essence making a new trigger (should count as a US part lol)
  3. Didnt have a single hook US handy, but did have a Rommy kit handy.
  4. was putting the saiga back together after doing the conversion. Wanted to test and see if it was ok, apparently not. first off, installing the bolt/bolt carrier was hard as heck, did NOT want to go over the hammer. Go to cycle it by hand, anf the bolt/bc keeps getting stuck in the rearward position. What did I do wrong. Test trigger set up is: Rommy Trigger Rommy Hammer Tapco disconector
  5. I havent got my bullet guide yet, so havent tested it, but yah thats the issue, it doesnt butt up against the lugs on the magwell. I suspect I'll try it out, as a few have said it may work just fine. -John
  6. Yup they fit like a glove.Just put one in my round trunion x39. Dinzag is a good guy and will help with any problems. Highly recommend him and his stuff. Airedale. He makes them for all variations (mine is a round trunion as well)
  7. You can't get bullet guides there? I could probably reship you one if needed.
  8. Yeah, man, I got a chinese drum also, but I haven't tested it for fitting properly yet. To be honest, I just picked up my S-7.62 a few days ago, and haven't got around to doing anything to it except clean it. I'll probably futz around with it tomorrow and see about wobble or not. Take apic and post it of the from of the mag. Here is mine (compared to a normal mag)
  9. Forum member dinzag offers a bullet guide 'kit' that includes a proper bullet guide, the screw, the drill bit, and the tap, all for $28 shipped. Can't go wrong there. (I have one on the way)
  10. I am working on converting my Saiga. Today I modded the mag catch so that it woreks with normal AK mags. However when I lock in my norinco frum, it fits but it seems the front of the maf is loose, it doesnt hit the stops in the reciever like the others. I havent added the bullet guide in yet, so we'll see if that helps but has anyone had this happen?
  11. OK I did use the search function, and looked at the FAQs. I am trying to remove the (original) handguard from my Saiga (7.62x39 16" barrel). I removed the sling swivel, though I dont think that was needed lol. There is no screw in the rear of it (going into the bottom of the front trunion) though their is a hole in the front of the reciever that I can see the forearm through. Do I just need to hit it harder or? TIA
