  1. My surefire mag works just fine, my only comment otherwise is that all magazines are much more expensive than they used to be. Thanks, Jimba
  2. I use a Barska 3X9X42 IR scope on a UTG quick detach rail mount, and get 3/4 inch groups with Remington ammo. This Barska scope is less than $100 on Sportsman's guide. Hope this helps, Jimba
  3. I have a new Saiga 308 with 16 inch barrel, wth Barska 3X9X42, IR scope mounted with a UTG quick release side rail picatinny mount. With good ammo, such as Remington 150 grain PSP, it will group 3/4 inch at 100 yards. This is great for serious shooting. For just fun burning ammo, none of the surplus ammo will come close to this. This gun functions flawlessly except for some Reduced recoil 125 grain Remington ammo which will not cycle an auto. Magtech ammo functions flawlessly also, but accuracy is not great. I have some Barnaul 140 grain SP ammo coming, so will have to wait to see how it

    Gunshow Fun

I can relate too the gun show experience. Saiga 308's at the gun shows in Texas go for about $365 and up. I bought a new Saiga 308 on gunbroker auction for $319. Love it, it shoots great, functions flawlessly, except for the reduced recoil Remington ammo which does not function in autos. This rifle shoots 3/4 inch groups at 100 yds, with Remington 150 grain PSP loads. Surplus ammo with not match this under any circumstances. This rifle has the 16 inch barrel. Have a good day!
