    Hello, everyone. I am a new saiga-12 owner and new to this forum, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so much to this site, I have been researching for a month and still find new things each time I log in! I was fortunate enough to get one in these troubling times, but not so lucky to acquire any higher capacity magazines or drums... Hopefully I will luck into one or this may all blow over.     my Saiga-308-01 i made the handguard from a lucky combo of machinery parts and stainless & aluminum tubing. the railed gas tube mounts at the lever-lock on the RSB, and to the set collar on the barrel. the forend also bolts to the receiver at the normal saiga spot. nothing touches the barrel forward of the set collar, just ahead of the RSB. that plus choate stock - the whole rifle feels very solid. LOP cut down to 12-1/2" - i am SHORT + jacket, backpack etc. Front sight is made from the original sight base, TIG'd to a fitting & set-screwed to the gas block -I mea
