I own a converted S308 (and love it), and am currently looking into building either a 308 galil, or a FAL. I already own a 223 saiga and a golani, and my galil mags work in both my golani and my S223. 308 galil mags are ridiculously rare and expensive, and I am curious whether the mags will interchange between my saiga 308 and a galil 308.

Just received my BG and before I commit to drilling and tapping I wanted to test fit it with the bolt. I set the BG in place and inserted the bolt carrier but it would not close all the way. cause the bolt was hitting the BG you can see in the pic where it marks on the guide. I have a flat trunion so it's not just a case of moving the guide left or right. Should the problem go away after I bolt it down? Anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this. I will be emailing CSS.

This is cross-posted: Custom built Galil SAR by Jeff Miller (“Tenngalil” on the forum). Rifle has the extended flash hider attached to bring the barrel up to legal length. Receiver is an Orf (IMI spec including hardness which is proof stamped on the receiver) and has Hebrew markings, including IDF logo. Barrel is IMI chrome lined. Tritium night sights still have a faint glow. The rifle has had less than 200 rounds through it (that’s a very honest round count!) and functions flawlessly. Ok, does anyone know what the codes are on the bottom of 35 round steel Galil mags? They are not dates. It looks like: 0 28 With the 28 being an example. The number seems to be random. Are these date codes of some sort? I have searched all over and can't find the info. Thanks
