Hello, I just recently purchased a Saiga IZ-132. I still need to do the conversion, and have all the parts to. The only thing I don't have, is the hand guard conversion parts. I have seen videos on you tube showing how to do it correctly by removing the FSB and gas block. I also seen the horseshoe piece that can be used, but have to notch the barrel. My question is: is there a bottom hand guard retainer that works without having to notch the barrel? I want my rifle to have the traditional AK look, however I am wondering if there is a easier way to get the same look without having to no

After months of hiding the SGL21 from the girl friend and calling it "Mikey" when talking about it she's seen it, held it, and likes it. She can't wait to shoot Mikey but she'd like a vertical fore grip on it, hand position affects her bad back and a vertical hand grip causes less stress and is more comfortable. Hi i just recently got my hands on the saiga 7.62x39 and thinking about making a conversion, thus a few points I need to clear out 1) If i want to put original AK hand guards, can I just replace gas tube (bulgarian, or other), will this fit saiga gas block? I know i need a lower retainer too, any other parts needed? 2) Polishing parts. I plan on getting tapco single hook FCG polished, is there gonna be any benefit from this, should I get other parts polished or maybe not do it at all? 3) I'm kind of new to the gun game, and not sure if i should keep BHO or not? Thanks!

Looking to find a wood handguard from a Vepr-12. I have a stock on the way but can't find a handguard quite as easy, Looking for the walnut finished version for a potential dye job and mod to fit a Saiga-12. Anyone with any help in this, thank you
