Friday I took the rifle out to my range. I had some Hornady 168 gr A-max, Remington 150 gr Core-Lokt, and Winchester 180 gr Super X. I actually had a hell of a time with the Remington, the Hornady was the only one of Match quality. I was actually amazed that the Winchester being the heavier round grouped better than the Remington. each target has 20 rounds in it. its easier to count on the Remington paper than the other two. also to note, with Remington and Winchester the recoil was considerably more and took more time to get the rifle back on target. in doing so accuracy may have been comp

Hey guys, school has been getting in the way of my firearm obsession but I caught a break and scored a new shotgun. Its a mid 1940's Remington Model 11 in 16 gauge based almost exactly off of the Browning Auto 5. This this is in perfect condition for its age. The bluing is probably 98% and the wood is in decent shape as well. The coolest thing about this is the way the action works. It is strictly recoil operated and the barrel actually travels into the reciever about 4 inches. The action is still extremely tight and robust. so today i picked up some remington express magnum 00 buckshot 3" as well as some 2-3/4" 1 oz. max dram slugs. i have a DPH arms gas plug. setting 1 on it is for magnum and slugs, and 6 is for spammo. I loaded up 5 rounds of the buckshot and fired, jam. knock it down to settings 2, fire, and jam. knocked it down to 3 and finished off the magazine no problem. set it back to 1 and loaded up the slugs and they all fired off without a hitch. The buckshot had considerably more recoil than the slugs but would only work on setting 3. anyone else experienced this or is there simply somethin
