GoAF 0
I tried pulling my gas block off the other night to measure my ports but it didn't seem to want to budge with the hammer. I has the two pins pounde tod out, and wasn't sure if i needed to take the one that connects the gas tube to the trunnion out. Any helf would be appreciated. TonyRumore 1,332
The press fit is different between guns. A lot different. Some are nearly loose after you knock out the two pins and will come right off. Others, I have hit with 20 tons of pressure in my press and they won't budge. You have to heat those up to get them off. Luckily, very few are like that, but most will require a press of some sort. Tony
GoAF 0
Knowing my luck I'll take 20 tons. Polishing the internals didn't help with the light loads, I'll try the 1911 spring next. Edited September 24, 2006 by GoAF
IndyArms 10,186
Or... Just keep SHOOTING IT.... *B*R*E*A*K*-*I*T*-*I*N* Mine used to give me all sorts of headaches. After I used it for the first string of my local trap league, where you ONLY WANT ONE SHOT... It will fire and eject EVERYTHING perfectly, on the number 2 setting now! dinzag 31
A little heat and a brass punch smacked by a 3lb hammer. An air hammer is easier, but you should use a brass punch to not damage the finish. Drive on the back of the lug on the bottom.
GoAF 0
Or... Just keep SHOOTING IT.... I've had the shotgun for almost 3 years. It has seen close to 300rnds of 3" mag, 50-70 rounds of slugs, and probably 300 rounds of mixed 2 3/4.
danny boy 0
I tapped mine off with a punch, just be sure to get it back on straight. I had mine a little crooked but the pin still went back in. I had to tap it back out before I straightened it.
