The naked barrel

Well, here a pic of a naked Saiga, at list the barrel, if you have never

see a Saiga barrel strip of gas block and front sight block here it is.

 

 

There is the Rifle with the GB FSB remove and the new GBFS that

will soon to be on the barrel.

 

 

And in here you can see the hole in the barrel

that I guess you guys can call gas port, right

below are some of my press plates.

 

 

 

And here just a pic of the Saga original GB and the new GBFS

and some adjustable reamers, the new GBFS will have to be ream

to fit the barrel on the gun, they are pretty handy when comes

to ream a lot of stuff, if you want to do a lot of work get USA made

reamers, if just for casual jobs the Indian made reamers will do the work

they are cheap but still work just fine; I have both, the difference on price

is like from the earth to the moon

 

 

 

Hey I was bore with nothing much to do today, plus sick on bed

and well I decide to press the stuff of the barrel, hey if any one

need measures on the dimension of the barrel this is the time

to ask.

I got a set of those reamers from Enco tool for $45!

I've already got my $$ worth out of them.

What is the OD of the barrel under the FS and under the GB for the RAA .223 barrel?

OK under the Gas block my caliper shows .630 of and inch or16.00 mm

now under front sight block .590 of and inch, or 14.99 mm on the barrel side

now the GB itself is .634 of and inch or 16.10 mm, FSB .594 of and inch or

15.09 mm
