Someone in another thread mentioned having sold their Maadi because they didn't know of a way to mount a regular AK stock on it. One easy solution is to get one of Ironwood's custom stocks made for that but I chose to spend a lot less and put a Romy AK stock on mine. For those not familiar with the Misr-90, the back of the receiver is angle cut for the pistol or undefolder trunnion and has a plate welded across it. I just popped the plate out and stuck a regular wood AK stock up in there after sanding out the step cut in the stock with a dremel and sanding drum. That's the beauty of wood, it can be manipulated however you want. I think it came out just fine and I only spent 15 bucks on the stock. Before, with modified thumbhole stock and my first Saiga After the PG and stock conversion... I've since swapped out the cracked HGs for some nice Polish laminates with palm swells, got rid of that pin on brake, threaded the bbl, and put a slant brake on there. That pretty skeleton wood one that I bet would look great on a Saiga 7.62x39 that should be coming in the mail soon... If it's just laying around, think I might could convince you to part with it?
