keyser223 0
I just completed my s-12 conversion and used a Tapco single hook G2 trigger group. When I switch the safety lever into the "safe" position it goes all the way up until it hit's the top cover and is loose because the G2 trigger doesn't have the notch where the safety stopped on the old trigger, so it's going up over the hammer spring and then getting stuck when on that when I try to move the safety to the fire position. Has anyone encountered this and what's the fix? Thanks in advance for any help.
keyser223 0
Clarification: on the disconnector on the original saiga there was a protrusion on the back that stopped the safety, the back of the disconnector on the G2 is flat and not stopping the safety. shaneman153a 39
Mine has always done the same, I just drilled a little pilot hole in the side of the receiver so that the little nipple on the inside of the safety lever catches it. If I try to throw it in safe too hard, the little bump won't catch the hole and it'll get stopped somewhere on the top cover. But who cares? I never use the safety on this thing anyway. keyser223 0
That's not a bad idea. Thanks
Hunter78 1
Bringing up an older post, but I had this problem too. You can make the stock saiga disconector work with the G2 trigger fairly easily. If you look at them both the G2 is thinner on the bottom of the disconector under the axis pin hole. if you grind it flat from the front protrusion straight back it will work and your safety lever will stop as its supposed to. The easiest way to see what you have to do is to slide both of them on the sleeve that came with the G2 trigger and compare. Too bad The trigger componets are not sold individually, because the stock hammer will also work with the trigger group. Note: You will lose a complience part by doing this.
