On your 223 Saiga, yes as long as it's for a stamped receiver.

 

 

Does that mean that Stock 'X' would work on a stamped receiver, but not on a receiver which had no such stamping?

I think he was referring to the difference between 'milled' receivers, which are machined out of a block of solid steel (which is good), and 'stamped' receivers, which are made out of properly-formed heavy-gauge sheet metal (which is also good, for different reasons). The Saigas are built on the 'stamped' receivers, which are more modern - if you are buying a stock for your Saiga, do not purchase one that was designed for the older 'milled' receiver.

 

Sometimes it's hard to tell from the particular ad (frankly, I hate Cabella's catalog in that regard) - if you have questions about a specific stock and / or source, post it here and someone might be able to provide some worthwhile information for you...
