buckshot27 0
I have a Saiga 12C that I want to convert, but I don't want to take away from it's value. I want to shorten the barrel to 14 inches, add HK sights and install Tromix brake. What are some your opinions?

Tromix or will@Redstick will be your guy to talk to. options are limited by your Bank account like any other hobby. 14" barrel = NFA stamp that ='s 200 dollars, 50 state background check, head LEO signature, and a 8 to 12 week wait. If NFA stuff is legal in your state.
Red Jacket 329
I'd leave an original 12C alone if it was me . You can get a stock one pretty cheap and do anything you want [within law] to it and you only move forward . well , unless you goober it all up and it blows up , you'ld be out then . kresk 10,063
Have seen 12C's go for about $1200 so I agree with the others that you should tuck it away untouched and get a stock Saiga to modify instead.
Azkamidaka 26
"i'd like to ruin a perfectly good gun but not ruin it." Thats all i heard man. Stick to the others advice.
az_shootist 0
I chopped mine up and couldn't be happier. I did it purely for the ability to use all russian parts (such as the skeleton stock and PG). If I planned to use a US stock set, I wouldn't have done it. Between the gun, parts, and work, I have about $2k into mine. I'm totally thinking about getting another to have tony make it into a krink.
