Mr_Christopher 0
Hey guys, I have a question about the trigger pull. 1) Out of the box how many pounds is the trigger pull? 2) Are there any after market trigger kits? 3) How easy are the triggers for a gunsmith to modify or adjust? mrapathy2000 0
do a conversion and the trigger is as nice as any AK depends on the parts. not sure on how much the pull weight was was not to bad. though had few jams before I converted. I got tapco kit for trigger. smith can work on it. you may want to keep the original hammer because AK47 hammer does not fit as nicely unless you grind the ak47 down to same spec as Saiga stock hammer. inparidel 4
The "trigger pull" on any AK, except for aftermarket adjustable models (Red Star), is just a function of (1) the tension on the braided hammer spring (that can be kinda bent to adjust tension), or (2) how soon the back of the hammer hits the disconnector (that's all the "second stage" in the trigger pull is anyway), and (3) how stiff the disconnector spring is. All these things can be tweeked. The hammer "ears" and trigger hooks can be honed and teflon greases used. All this determines a stock AK trigger pull. Many of the FCG parts are crudely machined and the roughness alone will make the pull stiffer. Modify any of the above or get an adjustable (US Mfg.). The bottom line is there is no exact AK trigger-pull average.
