sr1911a1 0
Could someone let me know how you can tell the 2 3/4 and 3 in mags apart by looking at them. I have 2 mags and I see no markings at all. I have no 3 in shells so I don,t know if they would fit in the mags I have. I also do not see a marking on the barrel So I will ask the people in the know. Thank you.
Bvamp 604
the 12 gauge mags hold both size shells. when you put your 2 3/4" shell in there, you will notice once the shell is in the rim groove in the mag, there is space between the front of the shell, and the front of the magazine body. that extra space allows for 3" shells. twinhairdryers 2
I actually tested these mags and my S-12 before by alternating 3" magnum slugs with 8shot clay loads (heaviest to lightest I could find). Gas setting on one, and my S-12 cycled 3 mags like this in quick sucession, no problem. After that - I trusted my mags and whatever I put into them would cycle.
