Navy87Guy 1
Well, I did it - I ordered a Saiga 7.2 x 39 this afternoon! After reading about the quality of Saigas and going through the various "how to's" on the conversions, I think I'll be able to manage it. I probably won't do it for a while -- I'll take some time to assemble the required parts (including the 922R compliance parts) then start it later this winter or next year. That will also give me time to decide what stock configuration I want to use. I'm leaning toward making it a side-folder, with the SAW pistol grip and Galil-style foregrip. This is bad...my first AK hasn't even shipped yet, and I've already ordered a second one for a project gun. My wife is gonna flip! Guess I'd better go do the dishes and take out the trash! Navy87Guy 1
Hey, Ranger - No, I have been on Steyr Club in a while. Glad to hear you're enjoying your Ruger! Yeah, I got bit by the rifle bug so I'm adding to my collection. I bought an AR 15 when I came home from deployment, and I ordered a Lancaster AK a couple of weeks ago - and now the Saiga. I'm looking forward to the challenge -- and lots of help from the collective brain trust! Jim
