res45 4
I'm thinking about getting one of these rifles within the next few months but I'm undecided as to which caliber. I already have YUGO SKS in 7.62 x 39mm. But I.m interested in the .223 and .308 also. I don't plan on making any major modifications to it right off just adding a good scope mount and optics and maybe having the hand guard vented, other than that I pretty much them just like they are. My main question is are there any inherent problems with any of these calibers as far as accuracy and feeding certain types of ammo, any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks Ron
nalioth 405
Hi res45. My answer is the same as the other place. Saigas run like a swiss watch. They are AKs by design, so will eat anything you want to run through them. One of the best deals in a rifle today, imho.
res45 4
I noticed we do tend to get around to the same places nalioth
G O B 3,516
S-.308 and S-12 are the (and .410) are the most unique Saigas, there isn't anything in their class and/or price range.
