SaigaNoobie 66
Please don't reply: "Use search tool Noob!" I already did, and I'm still confused I did the x39 conversion, no prob, no 922r issues, but the S12 is a different beast. I just want to be VERY clear and make sure I have it right in my Mind. Threaded Barrel S-12 IZ109 has 14 foreign parts? New front grip+AGP mags = compliant. New piston + AGP mags = Compliant. FCG+USPgrip+USFront grip or stock = Compliant. OR am I really at 15 with the thread protector on there? Are chokes considered in the 922r count as foreign/domestic? Seriously, chokes are the definition of sporting OK well, sorry to add another dead horse thread but I need to be sure before I start anything.

I was wondering the same thing about the AGP mags and the front end / piston. I was also wondering about adding a us muzzle brake as an option.

Bonesaw 1
when you add the pistol grip you now have 15 parts, so there's 5 you need to change to US to be compliant Here's the route I'm going: AGP Mag - 3 parts G2 trigger - 2 or 3 parts , can't remember US made stock (haven't decided on one yet) - 1 part Tapco Galil handguard - 1 part Tapco SAW is US made but since I'm adding it it doesn't count (922r) Total = 7 or 8 parts US Made, making it less than 10 foreign parts. I remember seeing somewhere that adding a foreign choke does count as a part. Its stupid I know. Edited December 15, 2007 by Bonesaw

I remember seeing somewhere that adding a foreign choke does count as a part. Its stupid I know. Copied from dinzaq's post on this site: ( I googled a 922r list for ak's and his came up ) (parts on a factory config saiga are in bold) (1) Receiver (2) Barrels (3) Barrel extensions (4) Mounting blocks, trunnion (rifles only) (5) Muzzle attachments (shotguns w/ threaded barrels only) (6) Bolts (7) Bolt carriers (8) Operating rods (9) Gas pistons (10) Trigger housings (11) Triggers (12) Hammers (13) Sears (14) Disconnectors (15) Buttstock (16) Pistol grips (17) Forearms, handguards (18) Magazine bodies (19) Followers (20) Floorplates To make it easy on you, pick out 5 items in bold and swap them out. Personally I stay away from picking the 3 magazine parts because if you sell it, or whatever someone will not know and inadvertantly have a no no gun if they put in a russian mag.
