Rustynuts 3
Anyone have a pattern for venting or detailed photo of a Galil style foregrip that's been vented? Using the Tapco set for my conversion.

stngray 0
Here's how I do mine. Do you drill the ends of the vents then connect the dots with a dremel? If so what size bit? Thanks.

Cobra 76 two 2,677
Sorry guys...got busy and didn't get back to this thread. Stingray and Rustynuts....I use an endmill to do the slots. It's way better than the old drill holes and connect with dremel method I used to use. It's very exact and keeps them perfectly symetrical and straight cuts all the way through. It also requires less cleanup with files and sandpaper. You can set up a jig with stop blocks on a router table or use a drill press with a cross slide vice...there are different ways to do it. You can get endmills in all different sizes. I like the 1/4" and 5/16" best. saiga12fan the mag window I cut out by hand with the dremel and a cutter I have that looks like a saw blade on the end of the shaft. Then I used a sanding drum on the dremel to smooth it out. Then I cut a piece of lexan for the cover to keep the trash out of the mag. It's fastened with dots of gel superglue around the outside. I think it's cool to see how many shells I have left and what kind are loaded in the mag. I'm working on a new way to do it without it taking as much work so I can try to sell some. It will be individual smaller windows similar to a pistol mag.
