GoAF 0
Hi everbody, Just warning you to stay away from Federal 3" 20ga steel shot. I picked up a box from a freind cheap because he accidentally bought 20ga instead of 12ga. The ammo will not cycle into the chamber from the magazine since it somehow gets caught up on the barrel lugs. The magazines will not even lock in properly when loaded with the stuff. I havn't the clue to why, but it has happened with every shell I have tried to load. Just a freindly warning.

Saiga20InMyHome 0
That's funny, because the only thing I will shoot out of my saiga is federals...I shoot 3" #4 steel shot all the time and have never had a jam...I keep 3" 000 steel shot in it for home defense and when I check functionality, it seems to work fine...anybody else have probs with federal steels? tomme boy 0
Use a 3" mag and you won't have any problems.
GoAF 0
Use a 3" mag and you won't have any problems. Did, 3" wont fit into the 2 3/4" mags no matter the brand.
grendelbane 0
3" Federal steel, and lead, and slugs, all work fine in my Saiga. The steel does require the other setting to operate however. The Federal 3" #2 buck is my favorite. With the folding stock a little goes a long way, however.
