St Michael 0
Are these scope mounts http://www.gunaccessories.com/ScopeMounts/...Mount&Scope.jpg -- in which the scope mount is simply attached to a replacement dust cover on the rifle -- any good? Are they secure and solid enough to hold zero, or is there too much movement in the dust cover itself for this to work properly? They can be purchased here. I picked up my first Saiga last night (in fact, my first semi-auto rifle), the .308 with 16" barrel, and I'm drawing up my Christmas wish list. This inexpensive accessory looks like a great idea. KySoldier 2
Congrats on the rifle. I don't know if this mount will fit the 308. If you want I can try on mine (I've got that mount somewhere), but I don't think it'd hold a zero well, except maybe a red dot. Certainly wouldn't be good for accuracy that a 308 could provide you with a proper side mount (which costs about the same).
