herr_cobblermachen 0
Whats it matter what the numbers mean? $200 is a great price for a Norinco Chinese SKS here in my state. All the gunshows Ive been to this year have SKSs at $300 base. If you walked out of there with it for $180 Id count my blessings- Id happily pay x-amount for the right item. As far as the Saiga, $400 might be steep if its the 16" synthetic 308. They're what? $370 new? Id try to haggle down to maybe $330ish. Im not sure he'd let you out of there both for $500- even without the pawn-shop markup. Theyre both worth more than that. Ive had no luck cross referencing or decoding those tag numbers. I imagine one is perhaps bluebook codes or some such. I love your icon btw does anyone here know how? i need to know within a couple of hours so HELP ME OUT!!! i dont know exactly what the numbers were called...but they are the RIGHT numbers... Saiga .308: Book #-15832<----very top number other #-067N Norinco SKS: Book #-16001<-----very top number other #-117PA I understand what you are asking. Unfortunately, every place is different, so I think only someone on the inside can help. The store I worked at used the story owner's name which happened to be 10 digets long with no repeated characters to generate the price code. That made it easy to remember the codes. For those that dont know what he is asking, the take in "pawn" price is usually marked on the tags in addition to the sale price so that the employees know exactly how much they can haggle down to without having to go look in a book. The price is written in a code , like A=1, B=2, C=3, so a price code of BAC would be $

herr_cobblermachen 0
Power to you mate! You must face off against my in-the-works hk91 knockoff:P. Oh, get this- If youre going with a thumbhole stock (without a grenade launcher, threaded muzzle/flash hider, bayo lug, pistol grip, or collapsible stock) you dont have to add x-number of us parts to be 992r compliant since your saiga wouldnt be classified as an assault rifle =). This meant I didnt have to recycle my whole trigger group- so i wound up spending $5 on my trigger . Heh, dont worry about passing up the sks, you have a yugo anywho:P. Even if you have an akm already, its not 308 like another sks would be the same caliber as the other one =) -any reason to buy another gun is a good reason:P. Which stock did your s308 have on it? wood or syn? Most definately mate, post a picture:) THANK YOU HERR!!! god will bless you for your help! i passed on the SKS but am trying to talk my friend into buying it. as for the Saiga I BOUGHT IT! i talked him down to $385+tax it came out $410. so i am a proud new owner of the 22" .308 as well, just bought a 7.62 last week...my gun porn will be posted soon, the .308 WILL BE A SAIGUNOV!!! i was so happy when i got it i was SHAKING, i had 4 cigs to settle down, you should have seen my smile!!! Bossman 1
Many pawnshops use BLACKHORSE as the code, to indicate the amount of $$ they have in the item. 10 digits from 1 to 0 BEE is $100, LKE is $250, ACBH is $3416 etc. this is usually listed after the ticket number the item was originally pawned or purchased on. This is done so the clerk will know how much is invested in the item and he or she will know how much they can dicker and still stay within the shops acceptable range of profit, which is usually triple what they have in it for most items but may be double for firearms. Sample pawn shop price tag: Norinco SKS $299 124532-OK The rifle was pawned on ticket 124532 and $75 was loaned or paid for outright purchase, they need to get $150 to double their money if thats what the shops standard of profit is. Bossman Interesting, they use SARNEG (Search And Rescue Numeric Encryption Grid?), just like in Search and rescue ops. If you guys don't understand what he means: B L A C K H O R S E 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 B=1, L=2, etc. Thanks for sharing Bossman. I'll have to pay attention to that next time at the PS.
