Vultite 57
Would it be possible to take the parts from a saiga & transplant them into an aftermarket receiver such as a spud nodac? probably if the dimensions inside were the same, including the lineup of pins holding he internals in place, best way to check is find someone with one on hand to side-by-side compare
nalioth 405
Yes, it is possible. Not sure why you'd want to. If you do so, make sure you destroy the Saiga receiver first. If not, you are committing a federal felony when you remove the parts from the Saiga.

If not, you are committing a federal felony when you remove the parts from the Saiga. why/how? In the USA, the receiver is considered 'the firearm'. Manufacturers in the USA are required to stamp a serial number on any receivers they make. On imported Kalashnikovs ( Saiga, Vepr, WASR, FEG, Norinco, etc ), the serial number is on the barrel trunnion. If you remove the barrel trunnion from an intact receiver, you are "defacing/removing the serial number". You will have folks tell you that "Oh, you can just restamp the receiver." This is also illegal. Only the original manufacturer can legally do this. Torch cutting the receiver in accordance with the law takes the receiver from "firearm" status to "junk" status (and who cares if you demill some junk?)
