Powerbomb51 0
Is the bolt on better for the money.
terrace_mountain 0
Bolt-on is more expensive, but easy to install. Press on is cheap, but hard to install. For the press on, it is required to press off the front sight block and gas block, as well as to notch the barrel to hold the retainer. Most folks around here go for the bolt on. scoutjoe 276
For me personally the bolt on was worth the extra money due to my lack of tools, setup and experience to press off the FSB. YMMV (your mileage may vary)
UnidenStew 1
Bolt on works for me. It's rock solid. Just clean the threads with alcohol and use lock tight (the blue removable kind).
